I'm going to challenge the liberal Dems in this forum to actually list all of Bushs 'oil buddies', the same buddies many of you all seem to believe exist.

List their EXACT SPECIFIC names.
List their EXACT SPECIFIC companies.
List their EXACT SPECIFIC positions with those companies.
List their EXACT SPECIFIC contracts where it proves that theyre associated with the Executive branch of our federal government.
List their EXACT SPECIFIC contracts where it proves that theyre associated with President Bush in any regards.

And please, no conspiracy crap about off-shore accounts or secret panel rooms installed at the WH.

All Yahoo Answers eyes are watching this one ; )

I know this would never happen, but what would happen if all Americans refused to vote on the 2008 presidential election?

Many people get arrested for things they didn't do and sometimes for things they really did but weren't convicted of. So why isn't there a law that says arrest records should be automatically erased after someone had their charges dropped. I was arrested for assault & battery and I was booked and everything, but they determined it was self-defense and they dropped the charges, but I still have an arrest record. Why should my pic stay at the police station's mugshot album forever? I don't think it's fair!

I have a short story due and i want it to be accurate. I was wondering if they could be prosecuted if they had a teenager that killed some classmates. Maybe they neglected the obvious warnings or something, but i didn't know if the court would actually be able to prosecute and i was wondering if anyone could clear that up.

Okay-so maybe watching Michael Moore's movie "Sicko" last night did not help w/ me already wanting to move out of the US! lol It made me want it even more. I was thinking England or Canada for the heathcare reasons and mainly for the fact that I can "job post" there since my company is nation wide and a VERY good paying complany.

So...what are the Pro's and Con's VS. America
To me...Canada and England seem fairly the same other than the fact that the healthcare is covered and they actually seem to have the "right ideas' about things. France , from the movie sounded AMAZING< but no job there...

any help regarding Canada and England and the differences between them and the US would be VERY helpful!!! Thanks all!!! :-)

Do you think it is right that all people are allowed to read in most prisons is the Bible?
A family member I love is in jail right now and the ONLY book he is allowed to read is the Bible!! How is that constitutional. Yes I know, they committed a crime, blah, blah, blah, but how is that separation of church and state. Shouldn't they be allowed to choose their religious manuscripts? All of the sudden this family member is a "Born-Again Christian?" Not that I have any problem with my family members reaffirming their Christian faith, or converting to Christianity, but I do have a problem when it is because they are being brainswashed. Yes brainwashed. In prison people are in a highly emotional state and easily swayed. I'll bet that if the only book allowed in prisons was the Qa'ran, there would be a lot more conversions to Islam

Sir Norman Bettison is Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police.
We in the service joined it because we wanted to be of assistance to people in a crisis. But the armchair perfection of the "health and safety Taliban" is intent on coming between us: creating doubt, where there was once certainty, over our mission; and demonstrating, post hoc, the chaos that surrounds all crises as evidence of a failure to plan and protect.

The Republicans in the House of Representatives called the Dems bluff on withdrawing from Iraq by forcing it to a vote in which the House voted AGAINST immediate withdrawal?

It sure reminded me of it!

It also reminded me of when the Republicans in the Senate forced a vote on immediate withdrawal and it was voted down 93 to 6. Did it remind anyone else of this as well?

Last year, while I was going through a divorce, my former wife had filed a restraining order against me. A few months later, her lawyer informed me via my lawyer that I could contact her with regards to setting up child visitation. Going on that advice, I called my former wife and asked when I might be able to visit my son. She hung up, called the local Sheriff's Department. I called my lawyer to say "WTF?" What happened is her lawyer got me mixed up with another individual and passed the wrong information, which cost me $140 in court fines and a misdemeanor on my record. I was in the military when all of this happened and now I have to explain this misdemeanor charge to every future employer. Her lawyer didn't do anything to resolve this blunder. There were no further incidents. My former wife admitted at the court hearing that I was not threatening her and that I only called to speak to my son. Is there a grievance I can make against the attorney? Could I sue he attorney?

Since a fair amount of unexpected pregnancies end in abortion due to financial reasons, which includes the mothers inability to provide health to her child (assuming the mother is young, has little education, etc...), would universal health care help young expecting mothers who can't normally provide for their children decide to keep their child? Or would it have little-to-no relevance.

Opinions are great (and that's all I really expect), but if you have any studies, statistics, etc... that show any correlation with health care and abortions, then please feel free to post them.
