Do you think of yourself as a human being first and as being part of your Nation second?

In other words, are you more interested in bettering yourself as a human being or are you more concerned about your national (Nations) interests?
Which do you prioritize?

I think if we all thought of ourselves as Humans first, rather than Americans, Christians, Jews, or Muslims, the world would be a much better place! I wonder who created the idea of branching off into these seperate "clubs" based on belief in God (which should be the ultimate unifier) or where you were born. On the other hand, as an American, I must concern myself with the laws, well being, and enemies of my country, because as my country suffers or succeeds, so do I.

Anyone who tells you they put their Nation first is lying. I'm more concerned by my family's well being long before I care about being an American.

I put family first before anything.... then myself.... then nation. Sometimes I feel that the community is part of my family; it just depends on the issue.

First and foremost I am human. In fact, when someone asks me what race I am, I answer "human". When someone asks me where I'm from, I answer "planet earth." We're all in this together!
