And who missed the TV Broadcast "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman!" as he wagged the famous finger. Jealous of what? A fraud and a liar. Adulterer & thief? I take my life over the magnitude of mis perception driven by person/s greed of either Clinton. I can sleep well at night and look clearly in a mirror. Not requiring the excesses and the power at the expense of others. Thank you.

Doubt if he could win again today if he ran. He couldn't have won either time he DID win, if Perot hadn't siphoned off Republican votes.
He only got 43% of the popular vote in 1992, and only 49% in 1996 as the incumbent.
He never received 50% of the popular vote.
By contrast, George W Bush got 47.9% HIS first election (about 5%more than Clinton's first) and 50.7% the second time (still a couple percent more than Clinton's second).

Is means present tense your question is past tense.
Bill Clinton's present tense popularity is at 60%, Junior's is at 21%.
Just an explanation to those who have been taking this quote out of context. Present tense means right now. When Clinton said there is no relationship with Monica Lewinski he was telling the truth. At the time, he had broken it off. If he had said there was no sexual relationship... he would have been telling a lie. Just the same this has no relevance in the present tense which is November 2007. 1999 is in the past tense.

look he answered that question the way he did for legal reasons, but when it comes down too it the question was not material to the case at hand so it didnt matter. thats why he wasnt brought up on perjury charges,they new he wouldnt give them a straight answer so they asked it to make him look bad.it may be splitting hairs but if i say there is no milk in my frig does that mean there never was any milk in my frig?depends on what the definition of is ..is

He was definately at his best there. "is", as in, "my dress IS stained with a suspicious substance". or, "the president IS caught off guard during the line of questioning". Our current president could get away with caliming he didnt know any better, but not bill.

we had surplus to fix social security and the VA

Come ON! I think it's incredible that we are STILL attacking this man based on his desire not to admit cheating on his wife to the nation, which was NONE OF OUR BUSINESS to begin with, but we have NO PROBLEM with the possibility that the 2000 election was not ethical, and we were lied to about the Iraq invasion among other things by the current president! I mean, who did Bill Kill by getting his knob slobbed? AND WHY ARE WE CONCERNED ABOUT HIS SEX LIFE, ANYWAY! THAT'S KIND OF PERVERTED, DON'T YOU THINK? MAYBE THE PEOPLE ATTACKING CLINTON WERE JEALOUS!
