I don't know any illegal immigrants from Canada... seriously, I don't know of a one. And why would they leave Canada? The Canadian dollar is stronger than the American dollar. Every Canadian citizen has healthcare and the right to going to college/university that would be funded.

The only Canadians in America are legal aliens. They are here for professional work.

No offense but this is not a racial issue... this is an economic issue. Sure, there are maybe some people who don't like foriegners for just looking different but this is not the majority of people that are anti-illegal immigration.

I think that's a little stereotypical. But I agree that laws or practices that allow immigrants from one country but not another are racists. The problem is, these people are sneaking into our country,breaking our laws, and here we are wasting our hospital care, social services, and jobs on them! They are criminals and should be treated as such, no matter where they are from. I guess it doesn't affect rich people, but working people like my husband are SICK AND TIRED of watching jobs close to good Americans because a Mexican will come and work for 5-8 bucks an hour at a job that would have gone to an American for 25 an hour! Not only is it the illegals (and even regular immigrants who take these jobs!) who should be punished, but the greedy employers who would rather fatten their own profits by paying less than a living wage to their workers. NO ONE can get by on what this country ridiculously terms minimum wage. The only way that a working person can afford their rent is by working 90 hours a week or doing something illegal on the side, because what was once an honorable trade (especially construction!) is now a magnate for illegal scum who don't care how they devestate the economy or how many American children must go without because their fathers must take a 100% pay cut! If politicians gave a crap about us, and not pandering to the "minority vote", they would SHUT THE BORDERS TO ALL IMMIGRANTS NOW. Enough people are struggling to survive in this country, we can no longer care for the entire world!

I hope I'm understanding your question right and are simply asking about racism. Racism is exactly what it sounds like - RACE oriented. People can have prejudices, like not approving of people who are illegal aliens, but that is not racist. Racist is when you single out a whole race regardless of if they are an illegal alien or not and dislike them because of those who are illegal aliens in that race. So, although your question is pretty confusing, I wouldn't call you racist if you have a specific group that you disapprove of. You're only racist if you pick out everyone of that race and say the same thing to them.

It has more to do with being against illegals from Canada or Mexico. For the most part I believe we are against illegal immigration from anywhere, the reason Mexico is the center of the debate is the amount of immigrants and the dangers both America as a nation faces from not controlling the border and the Mexican people who try to cross illegaly face while crossing.

The southern US border is not the easiest of places to survive in when all you have are the clothes on your back and a jug of water, it is a harsh desert where you can become easily disoriented. It is very hot in the summer and cools rapidly in the winter, not only that the people who are ment to guide immigrants across usually end up trying to harm them. In many cases it is known that Cayotes (people smugglers) have rape trees where they rape the women of the group and hang their panties as sort of a trophy of their conquest for other cayotes to see. They also at times take the money from those they are hired to lead across the border get them lost and leave.

For America as a nation and for national security sake, it would be much easier for some one from Al Qieda to sneak across our southern border and try to blend in rather then sneak across the northern border.

I think those against the United States or Conservative efforts gaining controll of the immigration problem are the real racist because they would rather have the status que where pretty much anything goes and people are taken advantage of by big business and those hired to help them cross. Instead of a closely monitered system that ends up helping the immigrant population.

I think this has much more to do with quanitity. How many illegal immigrants are Canadian as opposed to Mexican? I live about 1 hour North of the Montana border and I have never in my life met a single Canadian that considered illegally migrating to the United States. Do you think that's the same with people living 1 hour South of the US border? Think about that.

Yep, and what most individuals who are worried about immigration don't realize is that our border with Canada is less secure than the Mexican border, but do to the migrant/illegal workers all the attention is focused south of the border. You will not hear Republicans say that we need to go after the businesses that higher them since the executives of those companies contribute huge amounts( more than likely most of it illegal) to the Republican party.

Why would canadians cross the border illegally? The legal drinking age is 18, but socially accepted age 16 and they've got free health care! There are no illegal immigrants from Canada!!! But they might hate Mexicans solely because they're not white...possible.
