My problem with the Iraq War was that the reasons the President told us we needed to go all proved to be wrong.

He stated that:

1. Iraq had weapons of mass destruction against the UN resolution ending the Gulf War. The UN inspectors, that were on the ground in Iraq, said that there were no weapons there. The Bush Administration insisted that there were.

2. Iraq worked with Al-Qaeda to launch the 9/11 attacks. This was debunked almost as soon as it came out of the Bush Administrations mouth.

3. Iraq and Al-Qaeda were planning to us WMDs to launch an immeninant attack on the US. Again false.

This bothers me greatly that the President has led the nation into a preemptive war against a foreign nation off of faulty intelligence. Every death, both American and Iraqi, I believe are to be blamed on President Bush. Yes, Congress (including Hillary) had this information. But it was President Bush that made the decision to go to war after Congress gave him authorization to launch an attack if all efforts at diplomacy failed (which weren't even attempted).

I am also bothered that those that did attack us (in Afghanistan) were able to escape our military because we were consumed with Saddam, who was fully contained. Now we are bogged down in a Civil War with no hope of escape.

EDIT: By the way - I'm not liberal or a Democrat. I'm very much an independent and a moderate that has voted both Democrat AND Republican in the past. This is not conspirecy theories, those that support the war need to go back and read newspaper articles dating to before the war.

Everyone said that hey they didn't have weapons of mass destruction, well we thought they did and there was a good chance that they were going to use it on our boys in Afgan. So guess what we finally errored on safety. We made sure our hides were not toasted by some gas that a lone had. It is fact that Saddam use gas on the Kurds, he would of used it on us as well.

Maybe if all you liberal whiney forks would quit your 8ithcin' for a bit and let us handle our buisness over there we will get this sh1t over with and then I can stay home with my boy. Instead flying half way around the world to protect your Arze

We do stuff you could not handle but it allows you to sleep at night. Don't bother us and you will not need to worry about anyone nuking your home town in the middle of the night with a dirty bomb.

Well since America is at war, act like it.

Immediate rationing of all consumer goods.

Immediate requirement for all men and woman to contribute to the National effort- donating time, blood drives, can drives, scrap metal drives, etc

Watch groups bolstered with Men and woman turning off the TV and patrolling thier streets.

Police and fire departments swelled with volunteers to train and be prepared for local disasters.

Weekly National Guard training, with civilians showing up to learn how to aid in evacuations, local disaster relief, etc

The gist is... what is wrong with the War in Iraq is..... only the some are at 'War'

The Real Reason is quite simple:
ITS WRONG FOR THE US GOVERNMENT TO HOG-TIE the US MILITARY IN THE PERFORMANCE OF ITS DUTY!

The Allied Forces, particularly the U.S. Military not being allowed to fight the war as wars should be fought with a free hand, (but, according to the Rules of War) and bringing all weight to bear, since the debacle caused by politicians in the Vietnam period tying the hands of the military and stopping them from performing at peak efficiency as was done in W.W.2 and Korea.

The interference in U.S. military policy by politicians now unfortunately seems to hereditary, the system of rotating men into a combat zone for a tour of duty then sending them home has been proved since the Vietnam period to be wasteful and expensive, a soldier is just getting proficient at his job and then goes home.

If they were kept there, till the job was finished, given all the right equipment and supplies and full backing, instead of having to tippy toe around it will lead to a longer campaign and more losses.

Personally, I believe that T.V. crews and news reporters should be banned from the Area of Operations, as its hard enough for a soldier to protect his comrades and himself as well as a civilian / civilian hangers on.

If the people really want to know whats happening then they should join up.

Troll Anti-War Posters who post unsubstantiated Propaganda which aids the enemies of the Free World should be incarcerated incommunicado for the duration.

Now Lets Get It On!!!!

Sadly you are in one of the many families suckered by the Empire of the USA into believing that your people are dying for freedom. There is no WW3! You poor people are not in a WAR! You are an invasionary force sent into a foreign country to protect the interests of the petro-dollar. Waken up!
Saddam was a despicable dictator but that has got nothing to do with why you are in Iraq. Just look at all the despicable dictators the USA has supported over the past 40 years! In fact Saddam was one of them, Donald Rumsfeld supplied him with the chemicals he required to wipe out thousands of his own people. All in the interests of oil. All in the overwhelming interest of the ECONOMY of the USA. Don't call yourselves American, there are many countries in the Americas which don't share your egocentric twisted sick selfish values. Do yourselves and the rest of the world a favour, just go out into the desert and blow yourselves up for Jesus. It'll save a lot of money and save the rest of us (The World) from having to put up wth your agressive self righteous tendencies. Who knows? if you're lucky y'all, you might meet up with the equally sick twisted refugees from reality who call themselves Al Quaida or Taliban. Maybe you can all meet up in Hell and kill each other over and over for eternity and give the rest of us a break you pathetic losers.
Over 'n'out y'all, now you pray to Jesus, y'hear? an' you ask him to forgive you for all the families whose husbands and children your husbands have killed in the name of your so called precious freedom!

I can't wait to see the answers to this question. Conspiracy theorist and Democrats unite, form of little child. This way, they think their "I'm right you're wrong" argument will work.
