Admittedly, if one assumes that states will generally prefer the status quo or embrace relatively benign political intentions, then nuclear balance will not exert much influence on international affairs…Three types of political relations might animate the future nuclear balance: multilateral and multipolar interactions and the conventionalization of nuclear war

A conversation between a customer and Bank of America employee:

The Bank: “Bank of America, may I help you?”

Customer: “Yes, I want to cancel my account. I don't want to do business with you any longer.”

The Bank: “Why?”

Customer: “You're giving credit to illegal immigrants and I don't think it's right. I'm taking my business elsewhere.”

The Bank: “Well, Mr. Customer, we don't want to see you do that, but we can't stop you. I'll help you close the account. What is your account number?”

Customer: (gives account number)

The Bank: “For security purposes and for your protection, can you please give me the last four digits of your social security number?”

Customer: “No?”

The Bank: “Mr. Customer, I need to verify your information, but in order to help you, I'll need verification of who you are.”

Customer: “Why should I give you my social security number? The reason I'm closing my account is that your bank is issuing credit cards to illegal immigrants who don't

I could take a local or a state job and use that experiance and get in later, but for now I'm wondering what starting/entry level federal jobs are out there in Law Enforcement with the Feds. I already know of a handful.

Probation Officer (or Probation Officer Assistant depending on district)...
Postal Inspector (did hear it requires a year first in general employment with the postal service, so it's not really 'entry' level)...
Border Patrol/INS (though my vision fails their standard)...
Secret Service (same as above but it's closer, though I've also heard they only theoretically hire entry level, in practice they only hire those w/ experiance)...

What else is there out there that allows entry level into a federal law enforcement job? (IE it has a GS rank or equivalent, and it has either/or arrest powers, firearms cert., or some form of criminal investigative authority). Marshalls and FBI are out since they only hire prior exp or Masters degree, but what about the IRS, etc?

If Comdedian Steven Colbert has thousands of people supporting his bid for Presidency, what does this say about the current state that America is in? Nothing against Colbert but is the current adminstration really this bad that so many would vote for him? No other candidate has recieved this level of support in this amount of time.

An 18-year-old Smithville woman who gave birth to a child and then threw it away is in jail tonight in DeKalb County.

Lilinaa Elizabeth Sosa was charged with second-degree murder after giving birth Friday night in a Mexican restaurant and then throwing the child in the restroom trash can. Her bail is set at $1 million.Sosa, who is from Mexico, has been in the United States for about a month, Smithville Police Chief Richard Jennings said. Her employer at El Rancho Restaurant in Smithville had no idea she was pregnant, Jennings said.

A waitress discovered the child when taking out the trash two hours after Sosa gave birth, Jennings said. The child later died.

Sosa was taken to Cookeville Regional Hospital Saturday after an examination showed she had sustained life-threatening injuries after giving birth. She remained in the hospital until about 10 a.m. today, when she was released and subsequently taken into police custody.

Sosa’s first court date is Nov. 8, Jennings said.

I'm 15 and my dad is a Corrections Officer; his knees aren't in great shape from his college football days so he is usually placed in the "friendlier" facilities where they don't have problems with riots, violence, etc. This usually means he is in the facility for the sex offenders. A few months ago I charged a man with sexual abuse and he was found guilty. This morning I found out that he is going to be placed in my fathers usual facility. This makes me feel VERY nervous as this man knows what my father looks like and his name. Am I just overreacting? I'm afraid that my dad might get hurt and it's going to be all my fault...

Me and my buddy were at the mall and I forgot to pay for a belt buckle and it was clearly shown in the shopping cart we got from Macy's. We were at Sears, and a hidden guy approached us and took us to this room were we waited and they asked us for our story. I said that we were in a hurry, and I didn't realize that I forgot to pay for it. It was in clear sight all this time and it really wouldn't make sense if we were in fact trying to steal it because we made no efforts to. Though, they made us sign this thing admitting to it and banned us from the store. My buddy has a court date and I was wondering if we could fight this or something of that nature. Because it was a clear accident though the people who watched the camera footage said our story didn't match the camera footage.

Educational History: Associates Degree, Bachelors degree (Psychology major) minor Criminal Justice. Job History: Excellent. The one and only thing that we count on being done by the Bushbaby's collections of clowns is to lie not only persistently, but reasonably effectively. Alas, that too has now become a thing of the past. In one week we have seen the ridiculous spectacle of the phony FEMA news conference and the attempt to censor the head of the CDC. Both of these must be labeled as complete disasters. If they lose their ability to lie, what do they have left? Is it any wonder that even the religious freaks are jumping the sinking ship.
