The Washington Monument, the National Park Service and The Veteran's Administration have taken Down Historical Plaques with the Latin Words Laus Deo. Earlier last Week VA all by itself Made Prayer at the Folding of The American Flag Illegal as if they are Governing Bodies. what say You about Free Speech and Free Exercize of Religion? Who's Next?

Can You also tell me the Mission of Soldiers? Hint: Against all Enemies both....what?

I found the articles you are referring to and don't blame you! The National Cemetery is funded by taxpayer dollars. They are not a Governing body to make those types of decisions and I hope they get fired. Just because of One complaint. Families can request certain things be said or not said of a deceased soldier. They do not even have to have a color guard or a flag and don't have to bury them in the National Cemetery alongside other people of faith. This sounds like the Civil rights era, when people of color could not be buried in exclusively white cemeteries. It's shameful and a Stain on American Democracy and American History.

That is some kind of Nerve. The folds in the American flag at a funeral represents everybody of every color and faith that served alongside that person. If that is offensive, then take every monetary bill out of your pockets and every coin, the Seal of David is on them alonside the Pyramid and the All Seeing Eye of God.

Congress Shall Make No Law respecting the Establishment of religion Or PROHIBITING the FREE EXERCISE THEREOF; Or ABRIDGING THE FREEDOM Of SPEECH, OR of the Press; or The Right of the People Peacably to Assenble, and to Petition the government for the redress of grievances.. Stormchaser, this fits the bill. Removing Historic icons because of their content is deplorable and it is Freedom that I served for All People regardless of their religion or Lack of one....

There is No established religion by the Government called The First Church of Federalism. This Means that Government cannot tell churches what to do and cannot diminish their free speech. It is Not against the Law to Pray Publicly, to Display Religious symbols and quotes...If that's the case then they should close every last one and Call themselves Secular Humanist Communists...It makes me ashamed of being an American, after all of the wars going to Foreign lands to free them to have the freedoms we Had....

I couldn't find any mention of removal of the plaques - have you a source? As for the folding of the flag, there was a recitation (not a prayer) often spoken during it, giving a description of what each fold supposedly meant, and it was banned by the National Cemetary Association, not the VA.

By the way, the ban was triggered by an objection to the 11th fold: "The eleventh fold, in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen, represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies, in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

Against all enemies both foreign and domestic.

Personally I think religion should be completely separate from state. I'm an active duty Marine and I waiting for the day a single atheist is elected president. A person that will do what is morally and ethically right based on faqs and intelligence rather than on religious connotations or spousal influence.

Aesity means self-existence. Aesity explains the metaphysical nature of God as a purely self-existent being that exists in complete actuality. God is not a being that is created by another god; neither does God create himself into existence. Rather, God has always existed as an unchanging, completely actualized being.

God has his Being of himself and to himself such that he is Absolute being and the definition of existence.
Since God’s essence is his nature and God’s existence is the same as his essence it follows that God is existence.

Most people that don't want this happening are trying to keep the separation of church and state the way it was meant to be. Which prayer are you using? all of them from all the different religions that make up this country? Or would it be just the christian religion?

Nobody is trying to take away your right to believe in whatever you want to believe in.

The mission of soldiers is to keep our country safe.

I don't believe in God.

Do I care if stuff in America mentions God? No.

Do I care if people claim I should have to believe in Him? Yes.

Thats how I feel. I couldn't care less if it mentions God on the dollar bill or anything else. Just as long as people don't start whining that I'm going to hell for not believing in the same thing you do. That's just closed minded and ridiculous.

Where is your proof of the VA doing this? Have some back up for your statements prior to posting something.
