my ex hit me the other day pushed me bit me and everything. Well the cops saw the evidence and didnt do anything. Now he is trying to get me in trouble. The cops have been calling me and they called me off of his phone, left me a voicemail to call them back on his phone. Isnt that weird? Well i did and the cop didnt read any rights or anything. Is that right? I didnt know they could call you not read rights and accuse you and ask questions for 30 minutes. It makes me mad because I did nothing, he was beating the crap out of me and he didnt get in trouble.

I also thought it was weird that it was from his number so I called the police station and asked for the lady I spoke with and the name. It was her voice any everything and she did work there

The police (cops) would not call you from his cell phone. If they did it would not be allowed in court. Your boyfriend (and there is an emphasis on BOY) is messing with you. If the Police needed a statement they would take it in person and on the record and they would NOT need to use HIS cell phone. You have been punked but hopefully you can turn the tables and get some form of court ordered action against him.

That wasn't a cop dear.
Your BF is just trying to scare you.
The cops would call you from the police station and most likely request that you come to the station for questioning.

YES
YOUR B/F HIT YOU AND DID A LOT OF STUFF AND HAD THE COPS CALLED.
(WHO CALLED THE COPS, WHAT WAS DONE,)

HE'S LYING TO THE COPS NOW?(ON PHONE OR OUT IN FRONT OF HOUSE?

TODAY THEY CALLED YOU, FROM HIS PHONE? AND WAS ASKING YOU QUESTIONS? IS THAT LEGAL?

YES-IF HE IS LETTING THEM USE HIS PHONE TO CLEAR UP THE SITUATION.

PERSONALLY I WOULD ASK THEM TO COME AND SEE ME SO I KNEW WHOM I WAS TALKING TO(NOT JUST ANYONE???B/F PHONE?)

AS WOULD TELL THEM I WAS NOT TALKING TO THEM UNTIL I SAW HEM FACE TO FACE

Someone is pulling your leg. If someone ever called me and claimed to be a police officer and started asking me questions about a complaint I had filed I would hang up.
This is different from them calling you to tell you they have found your missing pet. If they needed to ask you questions they would ask you to come to the station.
Cheers

You are the victim. Yes they can call you. But I would wonder if in fact you were talking to a police officer if the call came from his telephone...............

Yes, it is. They can also use what you say against you without reading you your rights since the info given over the phone is considered voluntary.

Why would it be illegal?

They can call you, they can ask you questions...

If you don't want to answer them, don't.
