My husband was deployed to Iraq last christmas... I sent him alot of things for christmas (and through out the year)...i bought a small christmas tree (the desktop type) and little decorations for him, sent him a video of me and our son, lots of cookies and sweets and some other personal things, cards, a musical stuffed animal, one of those silly christmas ones....The best thing you can send him is your love though.

EDIT: I know what you could send him is a mizpah, i sent my husband one and i wear the other half, my husband wears his under his tshirt on a different chain then his dog tag.....heres a couple of websites for a navy one

that is so sweet..i've always dreamed of something like that, falling in love and being with a navy/military man and the joy of seeing his face after the long wait. but im not saying i know what its like to be with one, its just a secret wish i always had haha. im thinking along the lines of something from the heart that'll be touching instead of something superficial. im thinking more like a scrapbook of memories and pictures along with a little token or chain or something for him to remember you by whenever hes gone or far away. and that video thing was also a good additional idea too, from the girl that first answered your question

Wow, those are some great ideas. I know that while my soon to be husband was away I sent him a small scarf with my perfume on it. I also sent pictures of food I had made and I looked forward to cooking for him. He told me that he didn't care what I was doing he just wanted to so me doing regular things. I know that he really liked it when I would send things he had not had in a long time like my homemade jam.

if he is in Boot Camp, don't send him ANYTHING, he is not allowed to get packages like that.

If he is anywhere else, send him something small, from the heart.

the best thing you probably can give him right now is a video message, letting him know how you love him. and you cant wait until he gets home...and Ur waiting for him.
