Like I know it's about intelligence, but there's only so much you can do with a computer... so I'm sure it's true that you put an agent or a team to gather intel or do rescue missions or covert ops... but the cia.gov is kind of vague on "clandestine" as expected.. its not necessarily advertised what these "secret agents" do

I recall an era past when if someone was caught in the act of looting during a major disaster such as Hurricane Katrina or now, the S. CA Firestorms, no questions were asked if a miscreant trying to take advantage of such a tragedy was capped on the spot. But given today's climate of "political correctness" at all costs, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that these scum are treated with kid gloves. If I witnessed my home being looted, that SOB would be sorry he was ever born and the heck with what the law says. But does anybody know what the law says???

What do you say to the people who believe this to be true? My husband is Army and we are stationed in HI right now. When I see these protestors holding up signs on tv it makes me feel ill.
These people HATE the military but they reap all of the benefits that the military provides.

You argue that in the absence of a civilian population that owns firearms, a totalitarian state will emerge. How then, do you explain the fact that most of Western Europe has gun control, and the rise of totalitarianism has not occured there?

I come from a strongly patriotic family. I have had family that have fought in every american war since WW1. I have a female cousin who just went to afganistan and I started to think. I really dont like women in the military. I understand in times of war maybe as nurses or other jobs away from action, but I dont think women should be on the front lines or honestly in harms way at all. You may think what Im saying is sexest, but my reasoning has nothing to do with 1950s logic "womens place is in the kitchen". No my opinion comes more from one word Death. The truth is I am more comfertble if one of my male cousins die in war more than my female cousin. I think that most people think this, but am not sure. I meen if see an image of a fallen male soldier I feel proud of his sacrifise for my safety, but if I see a image of a dead women it make me angry. What do you think?

Or, do we turn off the computer at the end of the day, irritated, outraged and incensed?

I admit there are times when, if I were 10yo, I might be tempted to throw my computer and there are many days when I can't wait to let my liberal friends 'have it' over something I've seen written here and there are nights when I go to bed fully aggitated, worried if the country is going in the wrong direction and what my granddaughters' lives are going to consist of.

And then, there are, of course, always the days when I feel as though everything's going to be okay.

Are my reactions to this place the norm, is it what keeps us all coming back or, are most not so affected by their YaHoo experience?

I think this is one more useless law that if adopted will cause some illegal aliens to join the military or go to college (but only if they get caught). So far I have heard of a handful of illegal aliens who want to appeal deportation with this proposal.
I consider this to be an insult to citizens who should be allowed the same benefit, but maybe I am wrong. If an American citizen is caught breaking a federal crime, can they go to college or join the military and have the crime wiped from their records? Can they avoid jail with this proposed law? It is wrong for this "Dream Act" to even be considered. I do not care if someone is five or fifty, if they break the Federal laws, they should go to jail or at least get deported.
Maybe I just do not see a benefit to this Act, since as far as I can tell, the person could drop out of college anytime they want. They have to be of good moral characer, which means they must not have a "signifigant criminal record"? What is breaking fed law?

Since, you can use limited characters for the headline of your question,that's why had to select such an immature headline for this question just to get 'QUICK ATTENTION'

***The real question is why both India & Pakistan can't realize that the amount of money that they are wasting on defence budgets can so easily & successfully be used to solve so many problems of our people.

India is spending way too much money on defence just to compete with China. Pakistan is no competition now bcz their defence budget is very 'DWARF' as compared to India's foolish defence budget,

Isn't it enough now? We have enough weapons now to take control of Pakistan then why are we bothering about USA & China.

It seems to me that India now is in a serious mood of competiting with US,Russia & China in defence department.
Is it required? Is it that important for us to use our precious money for buying weapons instead of helping our poor people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The recent article in the New York Times on India’s defense has some eye-popping numbers. The main news event is, India is looking to buy new fighter planes, and may spend as much as $10 billion on them. American arms manufacturers are chomping at the bit, especially as there are probably other big arms purchases in the pipeline. (For reference, last year’s entire defense budget is between $20-25 billion, according to this source; it may be an underestimate, however.)
