Or, do we turn off the computer at the end of the day, irritated, outraged and incensed?

I admit there are times when, if I were 10yo, I might be tempted to throw my computer and there are many days when I can't wait to let my liberal friends 'have it' over something I've seen written here and there are nights when I go to bed fully aggitated, worried if the country is going in the wrong direction and what my granddaughters' lives are going to consist of.

And then, there are, of course, always the days when I feel as though everything's going to be okay.

Are my reactions to this place the norm, is it what keeps us all coming back or, are most not so affected by their YaHoo experience?

I agree with the excellent response by "Mahal", but I want to take it a few steps further.

There was a time when Liberals were like a breath of fresh air. Society had gotten stale and stodgy. Some unchallenged ideas and assumptions needed to be reviewed.

For example, Liberals removed the stigma from unwed mothers. That seemed like a positive change, but the overall effect it had was to create an explosion in single parent households, resulting in the family, crime, and education crisis we have today.

It seemed like a good idea. It was "compassionate and charitable", but it made things worse, much worse.

Liberals also were vocal about the environment. They proudly stood against what they perceived as a dangerous threat: nuclear energy. Regrettably, we listened to them. If we had not, we would be absolutely energy sufficient right now, just like France. We wouldn't have to import a drop of foreign oil from the Middle East.

Once again, the Liberals had good intentions, but the effect has been disasterous.

Liberals championed welfare for decades, while Conservatives kept pointing out that we were only creating a perpetual underclass of people. Once you got on welfare, your odds of getting off it were statistically low. Liberals didn't care. They had this odd notion that some people had to be protected from the realities of life. Conservatives fought back, and drafted a very different set of rules for welfare. The result has been wholly positive. Millions of people who previously couldn't even imagine themselves as productive, tax paying citizens now work normal jobs. They no longer have the victim mindset.

Consider the ludicrous positions of the most Liberal of organizations, the ALCU, which recently defended NAMBLA, The North American Man-Boy Love Association. The ACLU weakly defends their position, saying that underlying principles have to be defended. That is absolutely stupid. In life, we have to learn to choose our battles. If everything in life can be the subject of controversy, if there is nothing unchallenged and stable, all we have is chaos. Liberals don't appreciate that. A society cannot exist when the legitimacy of absolutely everything is challenged.

Think of all the things that are exclusively Liberal:

1) burning the flag
2) spitting on policemen and soldiers
3) making abortion guilt free
4) protesting the way soccer hooligans celebrate
5) advocating drug use
6) apologizing for any sort of bad behavior; it's all relative to the Liberal, neither good nor bad

Conservatives, on the other hand, have a strict moral compass. If any conservative engages in questionable behavior, it is because he has strayed from what he knows is good. With a Liberal, straying is a way of life

To be absolutely blunt, no... I don't really appreciate what Liberals have to say nowadays because, even when they have good intentions, their overall effect is disasterous. Their behavior is nutty and best, and their naive approach to national security is life threatening in an age of terrorism.

They completely focused on people's "rights" without realizing the need to also stress our responsibilities. Society has been decaying ever since.

To repeat my admiration for the response by "Mahal", I want to quote his last line: "Liberals are not worth taking seriously these days. They are nothing that they claim to be, and they are nothing like traditional liberals."

This world would be sooooo boring if we didn't have these differences.
I happen to be a moderate conservative, so feel it's very important to have many view points and find a happy medium in the middle somewhere.
I really do enjoy blasting liberals on their whiny rants though..(snicker). It takes the stress out of a long boring day.

You ask if the devil enjoys seeing mass confusion and bickering amongst believers? Certainly, for he is the master of deception and it is by his dabbling in the faith that has brought confusion. The bible teaches us that God is not a God of confusion. So if there is confusion in the faith, we know it is not from God. Here is where part of the problem began. Let us suppose the Word of God is a well of pure water. Over time, the enemy snuck in which the good man of the house had let his guard down and added a small drop of poison. He only added a few drops of poison so as to not change the taste dramatically, least his plan be discovered. For his intention is not to kill a few, but all mankind. And if he would have added enough poison, a few would have died, and his plan would have been revealed, thus saving the multitude. So the enemy continued to add poison to the water and to this day continues, causing those who drink from the well to get sicker and sicker, even unto death. So basically, the further men move from the truth of God's Word, the sicker he becomes. So what is the true Word, the uncorrupted Word? The bible teaches us the Jesus is the Word of God. Jesus told the apostles that his followers will recognize his voice, would know and understand his Word. Today, most of modern christianity has compromised the bible in one way, shape or form. We are not to compromise the Word of God. We are not to add or take away from the Word of God. We are to led of the Holy Spirit and we are to remember that greater is he who is in me, then he who is in the world. I believe that if a man seeks God with all of his heart, mind and soul, loves God with all of his heart, mind and soul, he will know the truth and that truth will set you free from the ways of the word. Regardless of all the many different and diverse translations in the world today, there is one that has and will always stand above the rest. It is the Authorized King James Bible. I believe it is the infallible Word of God. I believe if a man is true to himself and submits to God's will, he will come to know which is the Word of God. ONE of the most damaging lies of the devil and most successful is the belief that it is impossible for the God of all creation to get his Word into print and have it done perfectly. It is said that because of the imperfection of man, it is impossible to get a perfect translation. Yet, the bible tells us nothing is impossible for God. Believe the Word of God. Seek God with the heart and not the mind. Seek him though his Son by way of faith.

What keeps us comin back ?

Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got

Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn’t you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name,

And they’re always glad you came.

You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same

You wanna be where everybody knows your name.

You wanna go where people know, people are all the same,

You wanna go where everybody knows your name.
Cheers to ya !!

BTW , this is alot closer than you'd think . Question is - Who is our Carla , our Sam , our Diane , and who is our Cliff Clavin ?
I'd name names but not with , ahem , .. . . 'present company; if ya know what I mean .

Good night everybody .

EDIT*** - I wonder if the lady below me(migz) was referring to 'what used to be the first answer' and not mine . FYI there WAS an outrageous vulgar rant , but apparently Yahoo caught up to him . I can't figure that she'd be offended by my response .

At the end of the day I am thankful for the differences.
Think how dull life would be if we all thought alike and we all agree with each other all the time.

The more we talk and share ideas the closer we are getting to the truth for those who do keep an open mind to new ideas.

I am offended by the first response!

I am a Republican who tends to be liberal on some issues such as the death penalty and gun control.

I also love a fair debate! But I must tell you the BUSH BASHING that goes on here is completely unacceptable. He is our President and not supporting him is irresponsible and unpatriotic.

We might as well invite all other countries to attack us both verbally and with weapons when we don't support our foreign policy.

This is a great question, too bad more people have not answered it! Thanks for asking it!

I do from the left I enjoy the attacks that can not hit their mark.
From the right of those who sell out I also enjoy putting it to them.

It is about the truth and not me.

I appreciate many of the things liberals used to stand for:

equal rights for women
equal rights for minorities
welfare programs for those who really need it
stablizing programs for the economy

I do not appreciate what liberals have become:

killing unborn babies is okay (abortion)
killing the elderly is okay (euthenasia)
lying about your own president is okay if he's conservative
lying to support your position is okay
bullying others who disagree with you is okay
giving special rights to minorities
undermining America's self-defense efforts
spitting on military service members
calling others bigots, homophobes, racists without cause

Liberals are not worth taking seriously these days. They are nothing that they claim to be, and they are nothing like traditional liberals.

I appreciate the differences of all things, unless they try to make me live by them, or force those differences on me, or spew misinformation by parroting talking points that are highly inaccurate.

The guy above me...if you don't like abortion... give someone condom.
