the ill conceived notions seem to win out in the political arena, and that when the messes are created from the ill conceived notions that its the very people who were the chief proponents of the failed notions that now claim to know best how to get out of the very messes their ill conceived notions created? Kinda of like "It may look to you like we screwed up, but actually you are wrong...we just need to push the envelope further and you will see that our initial notion which seems to be a failure to you right now was right all along. Trust us, even though it seems what we say does the opposite of what we say it will, we just need to keep it up. You will see". Anyone else feel that way?

Passing a non-binding resolution on an event that took place 90+ years ago which could potentially destabilize northern Iraq looks like an extremely short-sighted and STUPID move. I can understand her not agreeing with the Bush administration's policies, but deliberately undermining the relationship we have with Turkey hurts this entire country.

One can't force a country to feel badly about what a previous generation did - what's her motive, other than anti-Americanism?

...I mean, come on! I'm no fan of Giuliani, but at least he's steadfast in his left-leaning positions on social issues while remaining staunch in his support for the war on terror. I think with Giuliani, Huckabee, Thompson, and Paul, what you see is mostly what you're going to get.

But, Romney is a hunter? Maybe twice in his life. Socially conservative? Come on, what is this pandering he's now doing to the "Christian right"? I mean, other than the fact that he's obviously trying to get votes, his support of abortion privileges and gay rights throughout the years have been strongly publicized in the media. Then, he just flip-flops and suddenly believes "abortion is wrong." I guess Massachusetts is really good at electing flip-flops: Kerry, Kennedy, Romney, etc. (No offense to any good people in MA.)

Any of our Republican pool of candidates would make a better President than Hillary or Obama; my support is with Fred Thompson.

We all know that there have been strategic mistakes along the way. Bush is a total idiot, and so is every person that is around him. So what can you expect?

But, in concept, do you think the War was a good idea? Here are some points to support this argument:

1) After we demolished Japan in WW2, we helped them rebuild, from the ground up, into a economically flourishing democracy. Could it be conceivable that the same thing would happen in Iraq?
2) Establishing a Democracy in the center of the middle east could have a positive influence on the neighboring countries of the region.

I am a cocky little brat, and i know that. I get crabby and i like to stay away from my parents as much as possible. I'm 15 so i'm pretty sure that's normal. Well my dad and i fight often usually i say things like i hate u and stupid stuff like that. Normal, i'm sure since my friends do too. But he gets more angry then me and says worse things like he hates me too and that he can't believe i'm his child, blahblahblah. he smokes pot all the time (hard to respect a guy like that) and sometimes when i'm calm and he's not he'll hit me. I stand up for myself usually but then he'll push me down and kick me sometimes. I've been choked, slapped, had my hair ripped out etc. I dont know if that's considered abuse becuz i antagonize him some of the time? But i never hit him back i just stand back up, sometimes i'll run but most of the times i'll stand back up, unless if he hits me (in the face), i'll cry. So ya is this abuse? Or just discipline?

Ok so i know asked this once but selfish republicans spoke up said government isnt suppose to support children because people can keep popping babies.

well be honest with you let me remind you newsflash those children are americans, they are the next generation and so much for president vetos all this i mean heck. he is suppose to be anti-abortion whats the difference between this and abortion i mean really. For god sakes he rather start wars watch people get their heads blowed off, put all the money for the war and all his republican buddies who cares about mainland? i mean heck whats the sense of having the "No child left behind" when he is vetoing childrens health. Ok so let me ask how does this make sense? give me a meaningful explanation without making up anything really cheap.

SUPPORT THE CHILDREN IMPEACH BUSH!

oh yea one more thing, oil is Bush is main concern over the whole operation anyways i mean he doesnt care about the people. 50 years ago wasnt about wealth

Which is more difficult?
Planting some VX gas (hundreds of gallons are being destroyed at Umatilla Army Depot) in Iraq for us to find during the invasion. Or the controlled demolition of 2 skyscrapers and a 3rd building?
I know theres more to the 9/11 story than we are told but the bigger conspiracy theories are simply too complex.

With all the good news from Iraq, are the democrats trying to subvert American victory? Is trashing Turkey for something that happened 100 years ago worth it if it destablizes Iraq?

His power bill says he consumes 20 times the energy of an average person:
http://www.tennesseepolicy.org/main/article.php?article_id=367

20 times the average power usage is an awful lot, even if he does work from home. Maybe he should whittle this down to a mere 10 or even 5 times the energy of common folks before he takes a Victory Lap by jumbojetting across the globe for his Nobel Prize ?
