the ill conceived notions seem to win out in the political arena, and that when the messes are created from the ill conceived notions that its the very people who were the chief proponents of the failed notions that now claim to know best how to get out of the very messes their ill conceived notions created? Kinda of like "It may look to you like we screwed up, but actually you are wrong...we just need to push the envelope further and you will see that our initial notion which seems to be a failure to you right now was right all along. Trust us, even though it seems what we say does the opposite of what we say it will, we just need to keep it up. You will see". Anyone else feel that way?

You're not alone. Your very words bring to mind what the prophet Isaiah once said, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

And what if we are right and the ill conceived notions are that any good can come of more soldiers and innocent civilians dying? What if you are wrong and george bush really is a war profiteer, which he is, and that's easy to prove, his financial records, well what he has to claim prove that, while he is worth hundreds of millions more than he was in 2001, keep in mind he does not have to disclose what he has in trust funds or retirement funds, and he has 10 years after he leaves office to disclose all of his stock profits. So with that considered he is a billionaire now, several times over, he did not make billions off the paltry salary we pay him. So what if you are the ill conceived who refuse to see? What if?

I do feel like I'm debating the mentally ill on this site. Cons never cease to amaze me with their rhetoric and vitriol.
