59 years old on disability for 1 year.
wants to return to work
can make $26appx. hour at medically trained career job. I get job offers all the time.
My full retirement isn't until 67 years old.
I have heard many diffferant things that I should stay on disability and some say go back to work!
I miss my 37 years of work! my profession!
I think I maybe able to go back part time!
Full time might be a bit too much for me!
but I'm bored at this disability thing
I want to know financially the status how is that?
when I turn 67 will I just get what I am getting now in disabillity but it will be social security payments? or it will be more since I will have worked more and put more into it? or they go by your 10 best years??
can someone give me some insight on this before I take the plundge into doing some part time work??

I've heard of the three-strikes law. Three felonies lands you in prison for life, right? Well, we all know when a celeb fouls up. Why aren't there a ton of celebrities in prison for life right now? I know Britney is about to receive strike two.

When in fact his opponent, Albert Gore, was also a C student and also an ivy leage grad but went on to fail 5 of 8 classes in grad school? Why did the bleeding hearted liberal media insist over and over that Gore had won Florida when he hadn't, and after 5 total recounts Bush won Florida every time and THIS wasn't reported? Why when Bill Clinton invaded his foreign country to oust his pet peeve dictator, Milosevic, not one bleeding hearted liberal put on their sandals to march for peace, yet when Bush invaded his country to oust HIS pet peeve dictator, the bleeding hearted liberal rage was white hot, every sandal in town was marching, and all the bleeding hearted liberal networks were on board?

No bias? Hardly. What do you think?

of rights, there is a constant stuggle for what each wants, which results in 2/3 divorces. Is there any chance of marriage recovering, for heterosexuals, I mean?

(Gays are still testing the waters in their marriages, and we have yet to see whether they will have better or worse marriages than heterosexuals.)

A Mexican family, 2 parents and 2 children, fled their country illegally to escape poverty and danger from their government.
The family successfully managed to reside in the U.S. for 15yrs, the father working odd construction jobs to make ends meet. The oldest child, graduated high school and is preparing for college. A letter from the schools financial aid office informs him that his social security number is not valid. Though aware that he and his family are from Mexico he is oblivious to the fact that he is an illegal immigrant. His parents kept the border jumping a secret. When he tells his parents about the financial aid letter, they tell him the truth. And explain to him how he might be jeopardizing the family.

What would you do?

The Republicans have refused to debate issues important to black and latino/hispanic voters. Yes, they have refused other debates. But these two debates are the only I can think of that spoke to issues specifically concerning blacks or latinos. Minorities are union members, people of faith, teachers, law encforcement, and members of all of the groups and portions of society whos votes are sought and candidates make a point to address. But being a minority brings about issues that white america simply does not face on a daily basis, and rarely address.

Now, I am a independant. But based simply on the refusal of all of the front runners in the refusing the invitiation to join this debate, I will be voting Democratic for the presidental race in 2008.

Now, they are playing politics and just as full of crap sometimes as the republicans. But at least they had the decency and intelligence to show up, and at least pretend to care.

The kids were learning the Declaration of Independence and the California middle school teacher sent home an assignment. The letter, sent without an explanantion or disclaimer, concluded by saying, "After careful consideration of the facts of our current situation, I have decided to announce to everyone that I am no longer a citizen of the United States, but a free and independent member of the global community." Who is teaching our children?
