Why not the Korean Christians? Pay attention. The ACLU does not represent folks outside of the United States purview. That point seems to have conveniently escaped you in your ranting. Rest your case, even though you have no case. And the ACLU is defending CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN Larry Craig, did you miss that too? How convenient for you and how one sided of them (you do understand sarcasm don't you?).

How would you suggest the ACLU approch this? It didn't happen on American soil or under American control, like at Gitmo. It is an American organization.
I think most American's would agree that these actions were wrong, even us liberals. Do you have any links showing where liberals were happy these Korean Christians were tortured? Or are you just ranting again.

Here's one for you. The ACLU has filed suit in the State of Hawaii to keep the the state education dept from drug testing teachers. Hmmm, just last year 4 teachers and a principle were caught on school grounds either doing or selling drugs (METH). Before last year the contract that the teachers union negotiated with the education dept didn't have a clause for random drug testing of teachers. I wouldn't want my kids going to school when the teachers can be druggies and not be tested and fired for drug abuse.

Allow me to draw you a picture:
ACLU = American Civil Liberties Union
The purpose of the ACLU is to make sure OUR GOVERNMENT remains bound to the consitution and the US Constitution remains the supreme law of the land. OUR LAND...AMERICA, not everyone else's land that isn't AMERICA.
The US Constitution has no jurisdiction over the actions of another government, or other people of other lands, only the American government.
It doesn't take a degree in rocket science to realize this, only a little familiarity with our own Constitution and federal government.
Gitmo= actions of the American government. If allowed to continue it won't be long before the feds feel they can do the same thing to anyone suspected of anything. First its terrorists, then drug dealers and violent criminals, and before long the 2nd amendment is gone and they move on to dissenters, homosexuals, and anyone who has DNA charactaristics similar to the above. sound familiar? If it doesn't, its the whole path leading up to the holocaust.

Why aren't you complaining about all of the past cases that the ACLU has won that have BENEFITED you?
You only complain about the ones that you don't agree with, despite all of the other landmark cases that they have won that help you and your family.
And what obligation does the ACLU have to Koreans tourted by the Taliban? Neither of those parties are AMERICANS.
Stay in school. Try again.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the ACLU is an organization about upholding the American Constitution through legal action. There is no court in this Country that had the authority to order the release of the Koreans who were taken prisoner by the Taliban. Now if those Koreans had been prisoners in some American jail being held for illegal pamphelting about their religious beliefs, the ACLU would have been ready and willing to act on their behalf.

The ACLU has long abandoned any pretext of objectivity. They are stridently anti-American and completely geared towards anything that will harm our country.
All of this is not suprising, however. After all, the ACLU was created by (and for) Communists as I have pointed out in the past:

The ACLU is an American organization that operates within the American legal system not in Afghanistan--which has no legal system. Maybe it will help if I spell it out. The AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION. Note: the word Afghanistan nor is the word Christian found in there. And since you brought it up? Where are all those "generous Christians" who could help?

Are you aware that you look an awful lot like Dr Savage? LOL. I totally agree with you. The ACLU is a joke. They only take up cases that further their own causes ie liberal, anti Christian, pro atheist, pro Muslim, anti Jew etc. In my opinion those scumbag lawyers ought to be brought up on hate crimes charges.
