59 years old on disability for 1 year.
wants to return to work
can make $26appx. hour at medically trained career job. I get job offers all the time.
My full retirement isn't until 67 years old.
I have heard many diffferant things that I should stay on disability and some say go back to work!
I miss my 37 years of work! my profession!
I think I maybe able to go back part time!
Full time might be a bit too much for me!
but I'm bored at this disability thing
I want to know financially the status how is that?
when I turn 67 will I just get what I am getting now in disabillity but it will be social security payments? or it will be more since I will have worked more and put more into it? or they go by your 10 best years??
can someone give me some insight on this before I take the plundge into doing some part time work??

Talk to a lawyer. You want to get accurate information on this question. And the answer depends on how much you are getting in disability, if you have any retirement savings, how much you made while you were working, what state you live in and if you are still disabled.

If the only reason you want to go back to work is because you are bored, then try volunteering. That will help you determine how many hours you are able to work without changing your disability benefit. With that information you will be better equiped to make the decision.

If you can't afford legal counsel, then you can go to legal aid in your county.

I think you've posted this in the wrong section, try finances, of ask someone at the social security office.
