Why was he allowed to testify without taking an oath? That is most unusual.

I remember that they let Gonzales testify that way, too, and what a liar he turned out to be.

HMMMMMM.... Listening on C-Span - did I just miss the swearing in or are we definitely being lied to?

This is what, the umpteenth time now? As recidivists often do, she swore up and down that she was "retired" and her anti-American war protesting days were behind her. But alas, when it comes down do it, she just can't seem to keep her nose clean.

Repeat offenders such as this hold little chance for rehabilitation. It would be in the public's best interest to lock her away for good.

I heard a Repubican say that Bush's plan was to invade Iraq to set up a base to invade Iran (which is silly if you know anything about modern warfare, much less the fact that we are already in Afghanistan, which borders Iran too) but ignoring all that even...

simply put... America doesn't want another war waged by the same administration...

they are afraid of another failed nation building exercise... by an adminstration that's proven its self to be incompetent...

even if Iran is a viable threat... have Bush's numerous blunders lost him all the credibility that he would have to have to wage another war?

this could be a big issue in the election... and Republicans better watch out if they want to push action on Iran...

Were they all caught? Did they like the US so much they decided to live in peace in the US? Did they all return to wherever they came from? Are they still waiting after 7 years to do their "terror" thing? Stange how nothing has happened on US soil considering how easy it is to disrput the system. Remember..there is so much crime in the US anyway that the US cannot handle. So what happened to those "terrorists". Ever think it is a LIE? THe real war is against your tax dollar in the name of "rebuilding" Iraq and the war on "terror". Suckers.

and her mom is possibly going to be charged with murder because she could had prevented the accident. She will be charged under a British law that will make the punishment just as severe as if she dilbertely did it.

What is this law and why would you hold someone liable for an accident? I mean accident's happen every day some more severe than others but does that mean if my child jumps off the bed and hits his head and I have to take him to the hospital I'll be charged for it?

When comparing what the Dixie Chicks said that was supposedly so "controversial" with what right-wing darling Ted Nugent said, how can anyone possibly side with the GOP?

Cuba and the US hate eachothers guts, yet they occupy apart of the island? Is it as simple as the US invaded, and set up a navy base there, and Cuba don't want to risk forcefully removing them? So there's nothing they can do about it.

My friend who has CP, was scammed 20 years ago by her sister & family. They wanted to "borrow" $50K from her and pay her back monthly. They had signed a contract but it mysteriously disappeared. They now are financially set and have several assets. My friend does not have money for a lawyer right now. What can I do to help her? Will a lawyer make a deal with her to get her sister to pay the legal fees? Also what can the courts do to get her her money in lump sum? How long do these things usually take to settle? Thanks

I have heard from Petreaus nothing but hyped good news, despite that violence in Iraq doubled since the surge. None of this (Bush) guys presents facts, its the same lies since 2003. Do they know, they are establishing the bases and stay anyway, doesn't matter what?

and the politicians have done nothing?

Are we dealing here with people who are willing to say anything that favors their point of view to get their way. I hear for example Mr. Bush while in Australian made a public and professional statement that "we are kicking *** in Iraq". So if they want the surge to work, in their minds, it can only work, no matter what the reality is ....again...the goal of the surge, lest we forget was for political action to occur. Since the political progress did not occur, the surge must therefore be considered a failure, especially since it cannot be sustained permanently.

When Caesar became Dictator of Rome the Roman Republic fell & the Roman Imperial Empire was born & from that point on only Emperors ruled.

Since the war on terror will probably never officially end US Presidents, from Bush on, will have so much more power than they were ever meant to have that the other two branches of US Govt. won't really matter much anymore (Congress & Judicial). Making US Presidents virtually US Dictators.

So has the war on terror brought the end to the US Republic & do Americans even know that & do they even care?
