You know, I hold mixed opinions on the topic. I currently live in a society where 90% of all employment is contracted. It can be cut-throat. Here's the catch; you could be the best employee an employer could have, but when your times up, it's up. Someone new will take your place and not always for the better. Six months is what I hear is the average. Unethical? It provides the mass population with equal opportunities in a city where the employee/employment ratio is 10-1 respectively. Stability doesn't exist unless contracts are through private business owners/investors. Even then, most everyone now days are under some kinda contract or another. Salaried opposed to hourly. Even in the US. Only lower class employment is providing hourly wages. (Blue Collar workers). Any respectable business owner is going to contract with his/her employee's to ensure success and negotiation of wages and a guarantee that someone won't terminated themselves expectantly. It's not just for the profit of a company. It's for longevity and livelihood. Good luck on your search for answers.

Was not aware of that. I don't plan on quitting working though, sorry. Hmmm, will have to reread my contracts.
