My sister's friend told me she got a call from a police officer and told her to come to the station because he wants to ask her some questions about a police investigation. She doesnt know what to do, so is he obligated to have to take time off work and go in for something that most likely has nothing to do with her? If she doesent go in what would happen?

Why does it take $40k bonuses and lower standards to simply meet the recruitment goals? Why aren't neo-cons signing up by the tens of thousands to fight in Iraq? There are 300 million US citizens. Where have all the neo-cons gone? Just need a million or so to go to Iraq and straiten the place out.

I have seen many questions about Bush and Cheney's military record , and see other posts about Republicans that did not serve in the military. Does this fact mean they should NOT have brought us to Iraq? I am confused, do you see it as hypocrisy that you should have served in the military to be Commander In Chief. There ARE many Democrats/libs that served this country, and I thank them for that. Are there not also many cons/rep that have done the same? McCain, Dole, etc.

Will he hide on his ranch in Crawford, Texas or run like a coward that he has been all his sad excuse of a life to Paraguay where he has been granted immunity from extradition for possible war Crime Charges. I think he should never show his face in public again in the United States as he has proven to be the most hated American in the World as well as in the United States. Better off to do a favor to the United States and leave as he has embarassed the United States and made them perhaps one of the most hated nations on earth in just 6 1/2 short years.

IMO, all these perves on both sides of the aisle are destroying this nation. They are too busy leading double lives and working for special interests who have blackmailed them to protect their secrets to actually be servants of the people. they are servants to the almighty dollar as well as secretive gay sex. Face it, politics are polarized. You are either left-winged or right-winged. With the character assassinations, smear campaigns and other means of power-snatching propaganda from both sides, is there really much of a difference. Or in other words does it make a difference to vote Republican or Democrat verses this candidate or that candidate? Maybe division amongst the voters is the good way to keep your agenda(s) in play and get your self in office?

My history teacher that all major civilizations have gone through 6 things that have led to their demise. He said that the United States currently have all 6 of those things but he didnt say what all of them were. The only one he said is when a civilization becomes dependant on other countries for energy and food. I work in a retail environment and most of the employees and manager have been trying to get this older lady to retire for years (she's approximately 75). The other day a colleague of mine knocked on the bathroom door; there was no response so she walked into the restroom. She goes into find the 75 year old lady sitting on the toilet! This is the third time my colleague has found the older lady using the bathroom without the door locked and not replying to knocks. Could this be construed as sexual harassment on the part of the older lady (maybe she wants people to walk in on her?) Any thoughts?

Support for the war on terror seems to be waning among liberals and given voice by the Hollywood elite. Would you be willing to fight if the US was the only country not under

My husband is an E-5 in the USMC and tore his ACL back in March during PT. The Doctors kept brushing him off saying because he wasn't an athlete or a pilot he would get waitlisted for surgery. His time came up and he separated from active duty August 1st (6 months after the injury) and after several appointments they NEVER fixed his knee. He had a police officer's position waiting for him when he got off active duty but now they won't take him because he is considered unfit for duty because of his knee. Now Tricare says they wont pay for any surgeries because we are no longer on active duty and my husband is having difficulty finding jobs in his line of work because of his knee. Is there anything we can do to be compensated monthly for this? Our finances are suffering to the point of possible foreclosure on our home. Is there some kind of VA benefit or disability benefit? We can't pay for this surgery out of pocket, and it happened while on active duty.
