My history teacher that all major civilizations have gone through 6 things that have led to their demise. He said that the United States currently have all 6 of those things but he didnt say what all of them were. The only one he said is when a civilization becomes dependant on other countries for energy and food. I also want to hear some opinions and thoughts of the state of our civilization right now and if you guys think USA is coming to an end.

"TERCELCLUB" IS RIGHT ON !! When citizens become mind numbed , lazy , and self centered , and become totally comfortable with the status quo`, letting the government get in every corner of their lives` ! As in ; Not calling Christmas , Christmas ? Not calling a Christmas Tree , a Christmas Tree ? When ILLEGAL is not ILLEGAL ? When the ACLU sets the rules of Life , Liberty , and The Pursuit of Happiness ? There won`t be a United States of America in 2050 , if we make it that far ? We are a nation of citizens divided by non-citizens ! When our freedoms are being stolen from each one of us , and we don`t care ; then the end is not far away !

the end might not have to come if they get rid of that post turtle

.
A doctor and the old Tex rancher
were talking about George W. Bush
being in the White House.

The old Texan said,
"Well, ya know, Bush is a 'post turtle'."
Not knowing what the old man meant,
the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old man said,
"When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top,
that's a post turtle."

The old man saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face,
so he continued to explain,
"You know he didn't get there by himself,
he doesn't belong there,
he can't get anything done while he's up there,
and you just want to help the poor stupid bastard get down."

With globalization and free trade we are no longer self-sufficient. Our very sovereignty is in question with the North American Union. Our Constitution is being ignored on many points and we now have a dictator. Our traditions are being described as insulting to the immigrants. Our infrastructure is being sold or leased to foreign countries. I'd say there is a strong possibility its all over but we just haven't officially been told yet.

That would be the Tytler Theory...

The Tytler theory points out that "The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through"… the following cycles:

"From bondage to spiritual faith. From spiritual faith to great courage. From courage to liberty. From liberty to abundance. From abundance to complacency. From complacency to apathy. From apathy to dependence. From dependence back into bondage."

Our nation is at the end of the cycle...
