many people are upset that he told us that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and that we needed to attack before they used them to kill lots of people. however no weapons of mass destruction were ever found. this is just one of many questionsable things he has told us about the war.

Bush lied about why the United States should invade Iraq. The "war on terror" started initially as a response to the events on Sept. 11. The culprit blamed for planning the events was Osama bin Laden, and the group Al Quada.
Bush has wanted to invade Iraq since day one for personal reasons. Bush 'lied' that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. He 'lied' about Al Quada being connected to Saddam Huessein.
The American people went along with Bush and invaded Iraq thinking it would crush Al Quada and save the USA by uncovering and destroying weapons of mass destruction (biological or nuclear etc). It turns out neither was true - Bush lied. Many soldiers have died in Iraq, and the reasons why they are there are wrong. Iraq should have never been invaded - the reasons for doing so were false and not justified. People have died, none-the-less.

It is an idiomatic slogan generated by the anti-war kooky left, embellished by their willing lapdogs the elite media and propagated by the Bush-haters for their agenda.
Lies. Let's see here:
"This war is being fought for oil."
"Halliburton is making millions off this war."
"Cheney is the real leader of this war."
"Powell is an 'Uncle Tom'."
"Bush still has his hands on the oil spigot."
"Iraq is another Viet Nam."
"Rumsfeld runs the White House."
"Bush listens to 41 too much."
These are some just off the top of my head.
The "Pack Of Lies." is supposed to mean the information gleaned by Former Ambassador Joe Wilson, Colon Powell, MI5 in the UK, The German Intelligence Corps, The Mosad, The CIA, FBI and the NIA of the US. The subject of these reports are the "WMD", and "yellow Cake" uranium for the WMD.
Unfortunately, all this data was "leaked" before the final reports could be assessed properly and put in perspective. We can thank Wilson for part of this because of his willingness to damage President Bush. Powell was "back doored" while giving his report to the gutless UN. Even after quoting the other independent sources above, his report was denigrated by not only the US elite press but also the world press doing their agenda thing, too.
The entire situation is much more complicated than this simplistic, quick answer.

perhaps by using fact Bush admitted there have been no WMD in Iraq. Then Bush went on television and made jokes approximately they could desire to be available someplace. This replaced into for the period of a White homestead dinner and over 4 thousand troops died and Bush is making jokes. The CIA recommended Bush 3 days beforehand he attacked Iraq they could not locate any WMD. perchance Wikileaks isn't so nicely recommended on the info.

Those crazy liberals claimed Bush lied about the pre-war intelligence on weapons of mass destruction. These "lies" are what lead us to war against Saddam.
None of them will ever point out that Saddam didn't cooperate with the weapon inspectors. Saddam gave ever impression that he either had the weapons or was working to get them. If he had just came clean then none of this would have happened.

He supposedly lied about weapons of mass destruction. Even though there were no WMD's found (yet) I don't believe there was any lying going on...maybe some intelligence was wrong and maybe it wasn't, but what should be remembered is that we were not solely responsible for the decision to invade Iraq...the decision was made by the United Nations based on intelligence believed to be true at the time.
Personally, I think that Iraq demonstrated the use of a WMD when they killed 5000 Kurds in a day with mustard gas.

Those who said "Bush lied, people died," refer to the Iraq war. They are saying that in order to justify the declaration of war against Iraq, the president lied to the American people about weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein was hiding in Iraq. As a consequence of the war in Iraq, a lot of Iraqis have been killed and a number of American soldiers had lost their lives.

People that want to create a simple picture to a complex problem like to use that to describe the story they have made up about the war.
It goes like this, Saddam Hussein as always been a pillar of the middle east community. Until one day, Big Bad Bush wanted revenge for his daddies failed war. Plus, he wanted oil, to make his friends in Saudi Arabia richer.
So he made a plan and to invade Iraq and kill Saddam and create turmoil in the middle east. He told some lies and made Saddam look bad, even to the world community Saddam's reputation had been tarnished by what the Big Bad Bush said he did.
Then he went in there with cross hairs set on every innocent man woman and child living happily within the peaceful great nation of Iraq. Because he hates innocent men, women, and especially children. Then he forced his military to wage war against the innocent people of what once was a great and peaceful place to live. Because he wanted oil. To make his friends in Saudi Arabia rich. Bush lied, they died. The end.
This story was brought to you by the Vote for Democrat in 2008 campaign,
also the "or else you support a war mongering idiot that manipulated the whole world into invading a peaceful happy place so his friends could get rich and he could kill innocent people", foundation.
Are people being lied to then or now? If people were lied to then, why did they believe such a moronic chimpanzee? Wouldn't a true leader seek out other means for information? Or are we being lied to now about how they were all lied to, and didn't have the sense to find out anything for themselves before making a decision? No matter what, it's Bush's fault. That the democrats punchline to every joke and story they tell.

Making a bogus connection between Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda (the people who actually DID attack us).
Lying about an Iraqi nuclear program and other weapons of mass destruction that were non-existant.
Linking Saddam Hussein to 9/11.
Saying Iraq was an 'imminent' threat to U.S. security.
The truth is, he wanted war with Iraq well before 9/11 for reasons we'll probably never know. Oil? Revenge for his father? "God" telling him to do it in his head? It's quite sad and a lot of people paid with their lives for this loon. Not to mention the $2 billion/week we waste there when New Orleans and the gulf coast (America) is still suffering.
History will not be kind to Mr. Bush.

the war in iraq was started because they wanted a war in iraq. iraq and saddam hussain had nothing to do with 9/11 and the world trade center collapse and everyone in intelligence circles knew this -- but the president, vice president, carl rove and their think tanks made it seem like iraq might be a problem so they could start a war and unfortunately the american public fell for it. technically their were no lies -- just smoke and mirrors. if pressed on the issue the response was always "they might". and for a really lame what might be we went to war in iraq and now american causalities are at about 3800.
