For great info. on how tight Bush is with the Saudi royal family, Read Bob Woodward's 'State of Denial: Bush At War Part 3.'

I also found it interesting that the administration, most of the major declared Republican presidential candidates, and sadly, the Democrat frontrunner, Clinton, took shots recently at Barack Obama for having the temerity to suggest that maybe we should ACT on the years upon years worth of multiple nation's (including our own) intelligence reports that Osama Bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan. Bush has said time and again Pakistan is another of our 'good friends'. I guess unofficial asylum for our most wanted enemy is incidental 'between friends'. Kinda like 13 of the 19 9-11 hijackjers being Saudi was also incidental 'between friends'...

I can only wonder when America will wake up and get a REAL friend in the White House. Judging by most of these messages; Not anytime soon...

We withdrawl from Iraq. Actually we run away with our tail between our legs. The Insurgents has just taken out the world best armed forces. What makes you think they won't come over here and take the war to our backyards?

Yahoo claims it must obey local Chinese laws. I think it violated US laws and must be punished. US firms doing businesses overseas must obey local laws as well as US laws. Let's suppose it's not again the local laws in some nation to have sex with children, wouldn't you still be subject to arrest when returning to America if commiting such act?

My sister is enlisting in the air-force. She is joining because she is rather aimless, and had flunked out of high school and college a few times for not going, she also lost her drivers liscense for an MIP. Her life is kind of dumpy and she thinks that the airforce will turn it around.

She has not yet taken the ASVAB, but I am pretty sure she will score well becuase she scored reasonably well on the ACT. Is the ASVAB similar to the ACT? Is a high score enough for you to chose a job that would keep you out of harms way? I want to know what kind of danger she is getting into. Do more people die in the Marines, or is it about the same? At first I was excited that she was turning things around, but now I'm starting to freak out.

Also, do they do any sort of personality profile before you enlist? She really doesn't have much motivation, and thinks job is a dirty word. I'm worried that they might turn her down based on this, or she won't make it through the intense training.

The company I work for is based in HI and I work outside all day. They used to provide a large umbrella but for some reason have removed it with no justification other than we can no longer have it, However other vendors on the same street are able to keep theirs out????
Is there a law or certain things they need to do to keep us safe from the sun???

Don't get me wrong, its important to have such a close ally - but why are the British so quick to go to war with the USA when the feeling is rarely, if ever mutual? Also, Iraq. Blair was quick to jump the gun and send in the fleet. Korea (though UN sanctioned) and Vietnam also saw British troops serving.

I made up a contract with a computer programmer to do some work for me. I gave him a large deposit up front and didn't hear from him much after that. Our contract stated he had a certain amount of time to finish and he did nothing. I want to take him to small claims for the deposit back. I know from learning law that I can go after him for the difference it costs me to hire someone else and the money I lost from his programming not being completed on time. My question is does this still apply with just a deposit/partial payment or did I have to pay him the entirety of the agreement to pursue my money back and further losses?

the plan may be to require everyone man, woman and child in the US to carry papers...a National ID Card called "REAL ID". So you can be tracked wherever you go where you must use the card....when you buy amo or a new gun? And while we're at it, how 'bout the implanted micro chip, so the gov't can track you wherever you are on the your home property in Montana?, when you go to town?, visit your girl friend?, meet with others who share you distrust of the federal gov.?

The American Friends Service Committee reports that Montana taxpayers, by the end of 2007, will have spent nearly $700 million to pay for the war in Iraq. Worse yet, 21 young Montanans have died in the war. Other Montanans have been physically maimed and mentally damaged in the war, a total of 211 casualties from Montana, so far. Just think what we could have done for Montana with $700 million, if only we had spent our tax money here instead of supporting the privatization of a war for profit. We could have built 85 new elementary schools, for example. We could have built 6,687 new affordable housing units for Montanans providing homes for Montana families. Or, we could have provided 148,203 university scholarships for Montana students!

My son's father has to be practically strong-armed by the Attorney General's office into paying his child support. They have threatened to revoke his driver's license, have put a lien on his home and have frozen a bank account of his to retrieve the monies owed to me. He owns his own business and is successful. He lives in a $200K home and has two practically new vehicles. His lifestyle is beyond your imagination. I have never withheld my son from him and have followed the custody order to a tee. He says "It's just a guideline we can follow if we want to."

What would you say to him about his refusal to pay child support and/or what do you think of this major lack of responsibilty? At one point he owed almost $10K!

Ok, so then why the peeking through the gap in the door to the stall? I don't do that when I am using a restroom.

Isn't the normal reaction when confronted with something to say "not guilty"? I mean I have never done anything to ever utter those words, but wouldn't that be what you would do, letting them have to prove the case against you?

♣♣
I guess I am just having a difficult time understand why so many in Political office cheat on their wives and/or husbands if that is the case. There stands the "wife" by his side, how did he explain his "peeking" to her?

Anyone have any input?

A 5 year old McAllen girl is safe tonight after being kidnapped early this morning, through a bedroom window.

Luckily, the girl's mom caught Jorge Alberto Escobar in the act. Family members tackled Escobar and he was arrested by police down the street.

The girl was not harmed.

The kidnapping happened shortly after midnight on the 600 block of Kennedy Avenue, in south McAllen.

Family members were unavailable for comment. But, neigbors say they are relieved that the intruder has been arrested.

"Oh. well yeah. We don't need any pervert, around here," said Jerry Harris. "And that's pretty brazen to go into someone's window and grab ahold of them like that."

Turns out Escobar is someone the family knows. Escobar is an illegal immigrant who was living in an adjoining room and who worked with the victim's father.

He's charged with aggravated kidnapping and his bond is set at half a million dollars.
