The company I work for is based in HI and I work outside all day. They used to provide a large umbrella but for some reason have removed it with no justification other than we can no longer have it, However other vendors on the same street are able to keep theirs out????
Is there a law or certain things they need to do to keep us safe from the sun???

no there isn't and there shouldn't be. Find another job if you don't like this one. Sorry but it isn't your employer's job to keep you cancer free. That's like asking if it's required for your employer to provide you with food b/c if you don't have food you'll die. Suck it up or quit.
