Laws only work when people obey them is why.
Besides, it's good for the economy.
Did you know that the government in power will do things to make the economy stronger before an election? If there is always an election going on the economy would rock I think.

Because the states set the primary dates, and they would all have to agree on that.
And campaigning is free speech, you can't pass a law against it. And why should you anyway? If you don't like it, don't listen.

We shouldn't pass such a law....but, anyone who campaignes two years ahead shouldn't be considered by voters....They are already owned by the special interests paying for such a long campaign.....We'll see in the next presedential race if American citizens are willing to be led by special interst groups....

Because that would be a constitutional violation of the 1st Amendment rights of free speech, free press, and freedom of assembly.
The govt cannot dictate what people are allowed to say, especially in a political arena.
