Yes. Six years after WW I, Britain named a chunk of the Ottoman Empire "Iraq", but they could not make an Iraqui out of an Arab or a Kurd. To maintain order, they armed the minority Sunnis, who subjugted the majority Shi'ites and controlled (stole!) their oil.

By a stroke of dumb luck, a village idiot liberated them from Sadaam Hussein and now, after 75 years, they have their oil again. But now, the idiot is trying to convince the Shi'ites that they should give the Sunnis a lot of their oil and he can't understand why they refuse.

The idiot was never very smart about the oil business. He should have stuck with baseball. Even more ridiculous, the red state red-necked oil workers from Texas, Alaska, Oklahoma, and Louisiana just love the idiot. But, when 50% of all adults have below-average intelligence and are given the same voting rights as the above-average group, what can we expect?

It would be funny except that the idiot killed many thousands and we are still counting.

Please dont confuse my argument, as I intend not to defend Micheal Vick's bonehead display of ignorance, due to his position in society. He's an idiot. What does bother me is that , animals are killed often in sport....Game hunting etc....,

Now, is it me, or is the fact that "dogfighting" is unregulated by the Feds (no profit for Uncle Sam) the only reason anyone would be converted into a "criminal". If dogfighting were a regulated sport then, this wouldn't be an issue.

I take the stance that, our society is over regulated by over 60 million statuates that create criminals and we are treated as if we aren't capable of governing ourselves ....almost like "we have to be saved from ourselves". I ask...what "man" or "men" are qualified to regulate us.....and who allowed this?

Are we punks here to have allowed this form of government to operate at the current capacity?.........or do we feel the same way about ourselves

Do you think the mentality of if youre not for Bush youre against America has in any way been helpful to this country?

I know this goes both ways but even his most ardent followers must admit this has been one of his most consitent tactics.
So... do you think this has been helpful at all?

Al-Qaeda in Iraq could not challenge American troops directly. Their solution has been to target innocent Iraqis instead, to slaughter innocent Muslim men, women and children by the hundreds.

Why wouldn’t this cause outrage around the world? It did – but al-Qaeda calculated that in much of the West, the outrage would be directed less at them than at Americans for "stirring up a hornet's nest." And, as they also expected, images of death and destruction, coupled with reports of soldiers killed by roadside bombs, soon would erode the will of many Americans to continue the fight

Isn't that a bit antiquated? We don't seem to need any incentive to populate this planet, but those who choose to have children are further exhausting our resources. Should we consider giving tax breaks to those who DON'T have children?

In my mind, it seriously damages the credibility of the organization by making it look as if an animal cruelty case has something to do with race. It looks like THEY are trying to get special treatment for HIM because he is African-American in a kind of unsubtle exploitation of the media. The cynic in me looks at the timing (just before the sentencing) and the fact that it is a nonprofit organization which works on donations. ( I suspect an NFL football player can make big donations)

I always respected the fine work of the NAACPs founders and the voice they gave to the Civil Rights movement. This kind of apparent pandering makes me ill.

My history books outline that Nixon and Kissinger spent several years seeking a treaty with the communist regime in North Vietnam over the "Vietnam Conflict". Fact is, Vietnam wanted independence, and, not a puppet government installed by the west.

Britain has oppressed countless nations around the world. In India they ruled with an iron fist against the people and murdered millions after the 1857 uprising and caused the famine of the 1870's that killed 10's of millions. In Australia and New Zealand they commited genocide against the natives and in Sotuh Africa they helkped to impose white rule. In Kenya they murdered thousands during the Mau Mau revolt in the 1950's and they exported their genocide and murder across much of the globe at one stage. In Ireland they have murdred people for over 800 years and in more recent times they have colluded with Loyalist terrorists to murder Irish citizens throughout the 1970's, 80's, 90's to the present and they continue to protect these murderers from prosecution despite evidence that these killers have worked as British agents. Would the world be a better place if Britain was to sink into the sea?

If you feel that you are fighting a ligit battle with the Russian Army, then why do you seize schools full of innocent children and threaten to blow it up if your demands are not met, or why do you attack the civilian populations, spreading fear and chaos, when you as a freedom fighter should have higher morals than that? Why not sit down with the Russians and see about coming to an agreement that you both could live by and in peace?

And, why do you feel that Chechnya should be an independent country of Russia? Give me some cold hard facts, not what you wish would happen.

Thank you

I'm from Chicago, which is a Sanctuary City. Where Elvira Arellano was hide for a year in a church. I don't agree with Sanctuary city protect people who are broke the law to come to this country illegal. It even worse when they protect people like Jose Carranza who have 31 counts, one was alleged sexual assault of a child. Now changes shootings of four young college students, only one survived.

Some people agree with sanctuary cities because it protect illegal immigration from getting deport when they go to the police for help.

Some people like me agree that sanctuary cities is bad thing. I have a friend who is a police say that they can't tell ICE if they arrest illegal immigration. To me that break the law to cover up break the law.

So do Sanctuary Cities help or hurt? Please good facts and details.

Why do so many people think that if you have a problem you just call the local government agency to solve it for you?
When more often than not, the agency simply is there to handle major events. Or to answer questions.
If you need something taken care of shouldn't we as Americans take the initiative to try to solve it ourselves before running to some paper pusher for help.
What do you think?
