Do you think the mentality of if youre not for Bush youre against America has in any way been helpful to this country?
I know this goes both ways but even his most ardent followers must admit this has been one of his most consitent tactics.
So... do you think this has been helpful at all?

Jimsock- Thank you for the rhetoric I do appreciate it. Perhaps next time you could actually address the question at hand rather than merely spouting propaganda?
BTW I NEVER supported "Go get 'em arabs" I supported the removal of the Taliban from afghanistan. I never EVER supported Iraq.

I don't think most people who are against Bush are against America. There is a small element that do hate Bush so much they don't care what happens to this country or our soldiers. It is a very tiny but dangerous group.

No this mentality is not good for the country. It's his way of turning our country into a dictatorship. He turned this into a fight for what his father couldn't accomplish and called it "War against Terror". What nonsense. Do you now that his family are friends of the Bin Ladens? Do you really think that if he wanted to find Osama that he couldn't do so? Look at our technology and tell me we don't know where he's at. Finish what you started Bush and get our men and women out of Iraq!!
I never voted for the man and let's face it he didn't win the first term of his election he was appointed due to the mess up in FL. Funny how that worked out for him huh? Guess it just goes to show it's who know in high places.

Just a couple of concepts you need to get your arms around. First of all, the troops were not sent to Iraq by the president. There was a resolution brought before both houses of congress and it passed nearly unanimously. That means America sent the troops to Iraq. Once the decision to send the troops into any conflict has been made by America, you turn control over to the Commander-in-Chief. If Congress wants the conflict ended they can cut the funding. Other than than it is our job to offer nothing but our full support to the troops fighting, getting wounded and dying for us because we sent them there.
This is true regardless of who the president is, what party is in control of whatever or any other factor. Furthermore it is not possible to support the troops while subverting their Commander-in-Chief. Therefore every patriotic American will either pledge their absoulte resolve to win or shut up about it. You cannot subvert the troops or their mission you sent them on and pretend it is support.
Second, there are no harsher critics of this president when he has made bad decisions than conservative republicans. We are not interested in anything other than what is in the best interest of America. We did not think the nomination of Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court was wise, we did not think turning control of the ports over to Dubai was wise, we did not think the "Shamnasty for Illegal Aliens" plan was wise and boy did we let our president know.
Anyone who thinks conservatives are sheep or blindly follow anyone does not know conservatives.

No way is it helpful.
Some are so rabidly into this way of thinking that the US is at a stand still. Nothing is being solved, just constant boo-hooing, name calling and partisan bickering.
That goes for both parties.
As a parent, I just wanna put some you in time out or the corner! So childish.

George Bush was tricked by the American people.
After 9-11, more than 90% of the population and 99% of the house and senate said: "go get 'dem arabs George!"
Turns out, 78% of the population was just kidding and 60% of the house and senate were lying or didn't really think he would actually do it.
Turns out we finnally got a president who would do what the people wanted and would do what he said he would do, and we want to hang him from the nearest tree.
So now, we are saying that the president doing what we told him to do is 'not helpful'?
We're doomed!
EDIT;
Jacob: Sorry I could only give you one thumbs up.

I for one will be glad when the end comes to Bush presidency .
I look forward to the new direction this country will hopefully be headed in with a newly elected leader at the helm .
America is in troubled waters and it will take a skilled Capitan to lead us out of danger in to calmer seas .

I never followed Bush, but anyone who still does obviously doesn't care about America or our soldiers or the environment.

It's certainly been helpful when it comes to keeping idiots that listen to Limbaugh and O'reilly busy.
Joe McCarthy would be proud.
