Every time I remember that bloated Ted (hic) Kennedy wailing about panties-on-the-head as some sort of "war crime".

Self-important Libs are so funny!

London (England), the Daily Telegraph (newspaper) provided a summary of the most recent cancer survival rates by country in an article published Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/08/21/ncancer121.xml

Liberals -- please tell me how your proposed US national health care program is going to avoid disasters such at the one the Telegraph describes.

[Cons: you may omit the sarcastic remarks -- the data speak for themselves.]

:-)

This is in reference to the Debate in Iowa this past Sunday 8-19-07 (not sure if it was a rerun) where the vast majority of the questions where asked and answered toward the BIG 3: Clinton, Obama, & Edwards. Is this a bias by the media or just exactly how the career politicans want the media to project it to the public? As a young American I really consider the career politicans as being out of touch with "real" Americans and that they would rather make choices on things that will futher enhance their time in office rather than voting or saying something that really needs a voice. Whats your feed back.....?

I was just given notice that a mechanic's lien has been filed on my new condo. Attached to the notice is a bill from the claimant to the builder of the condos. The bill was dated September of 2006 (while the builder still owned the condo) and the lien was just filed in August of 2007 (eight months after I had purchased the condo).

I know what a mechanic's lien is because I work in the construction industry and our company files them against people who don't pay us. Is there anything I need to do about this? The builder is the one responsible for the bill, but a mechanic's lien does not motivate them to pay the bill because they no longer own the property. I don't plan to sell the condo anytime soon, but I'm worried about what will happen if the builder doesn't pay the bill.

Rudy sued gun manufacturers while he was Mayor of New York, because their products were used by criminals in commission of crimes. Why not sue the makers of ammunition? Without bullets guns are useless. Thousands of people die in auto accidents each year, why not outlaw cars and trucks?

To all the American Patriots out there. Should we forget about all of this impeachment talk for Bush and Cheney? They have both lost all credibility anyway. There is only a small hardcore minority who still support them. Shoud we, as patriots, just hunker down and let him finish his term emasculated and irrelelvant? Let's all work together to make this great country something to be respected, not mocked, around the world. Sound good to you?

This is a thought experiment. Suppose that you live in a community that has expelled all government. To give perspective, let's say that the population of the community is around 20,000. [I do think the answer to this question could change for larger or smaller communities.]

Most members of the community are simply fed up with government of any kind. Those still in favor of government include former politicians, many former government employees and a small minority of regular citizens. A number of otherwise peaceful citizens have and are willing to again resist any government with violence.

You are a leader in the community. You wish to avoid chaos and are looked upon to help adjust to the new situation. While you have influence, you can not simply mandate a solution. You may expect resistance really, to whatever proposal you suggest.

What do you propose?

I was in the middle lane of traffic. it was backed up for about 2 miles. so i drove up the right lane (2 miles back it is NOT posted right turn only). theres a toyota minivan of some sort in front of me. the light turns green, and he floors it and cuts the guy off in the middle lane (merges in the intersection so he can continue straight. a real dick head move to cut off traffic) well, i was proceeding and about to turn right, when i look to my left and see no one in the middle lane. there was a guy a few car lengths back who didnt go so i signalled got over into the middle lane, and went straight. the cop pulls me over and issues a citation for "driving straight through a right turn only lane". but i merged into the middle lane BEFORE the intersection, it was unethical sure, but certainly not illegal. hes saying i merged IN the intersection. its now a he said he said case im going to have with the cop with judge. is there even a point, or will the judge see it his way?
