Craig, I've been to Mexico and seen the poverty.
It's all the more heart breaking when one realizes that there is absolutely no reason for it. Mexico is not a poor country. But, continuing to reduce the political pressure on the Mexican government, by taking in their impoverished, is only going to insure that nothing is ever done about the poverty and desparity of wealth in Mexico.

C.S., I appreciate your input and agree with your stats, but it simply isn't true that most of the illegals are coming from south of Mexico. There are some, usually high profile cases, of illegals coming from South America, but the vast majority are coming from Mexico. One only need count the Mexican flags at a proillegal rally to know that.

Ashley, I did bother. The purpose of this question was obviously to get you to bother.

Gee Gebus, I gave you legitimate sources and apparently you didn't read them. I would think that if you thought my sources were suspect, you would have provided a source to counter mine.
That is pretty simple to understand.
And I like Canada too.

It is an invasion.
Pure and simple.
The former owners of the American south-west want it back and won't stop until it is theirs. They want it to be their land, their culture, their language and their elitist society with no middle class and their race. (La Raza means "the race").
Yes, they are racists also.

Pretty simple actually, Canada has a population of rougly 33million, but a GDP of over 1.3 billion, where as mexico has a population of around 105 million and a GDP of around 900million, so actually canada is far richer the Mexico, also Canada is a far nicer place to live then either the US or Mexico.

Also you should check your sources, cause canada is by farm more rich the Mexico.

Mexico may have the means to be a rich nation, and they may have a large population of very rich people, however there is a huge disparity between the classes in Mexico. Life for the poor people in Mexico is horrible. You don't see any rich illegal aliens just the poor ones.

The gini coefficient for Mexico is 49.5. That means the country's wealth is very, very, very unequally distributed. The richest 10% of Mexico have 24 times more wealth than the poorest 10%. In the U.S. it is only 15 times (still unacceptable from any evaluation of social justice). In contrast with Canada's gini is 32.6. The poor in Canada have more of the percentage of the wealth than the poor in Mexico.

Also, just FYI, most immigration is coming from farther south than Mexico.

Because the corrupt Mexican gov't keeps the money for themselves. The riches are not shared with the common person. If you can provide links to info on Mexico's riches, I'm sure you can find links on the living conditions, wages and such for the average mexican.

concerning threats, purely via fact some human beings are migrating illegally that would not make all of them terrorists. Terrorists could properly be criminal, prosperous etc. and that they'll discover the capacity to attack, via land, air or water. what's a possibility is the individuals who're grasping and for funds they'll enable all and multiple back to the u . s ., via fact as consistent with I say, even those with funds could properly be skill terrorists and threats whether they arrive criminal, whether they are prosperous.

I don't know for sure but I would like to take a stab at it. my guess is lack of property rights. they have homes or whatever if they work but make little money and have no way to get a loan to establish businesses or to invest in oil or other companies. they dont' own those homes, they can't use them for collateral. They don't have other rights we sorta have here.

they don't own themselves basically. they don't have right to habea corpus (and looks like here too) or right to complain if something is not right, they don't have freedom of speech there from what I understand especially when speaking against wrongs committed in government. they have some freedom of religion don't they?

If you bothered to look up how Mexico's wealth is spread out among its people, you would have your answer.

I couldn't find the actual statistics, but here's a related story if you're curious: http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=2945829&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312
