Rudy sued gun manufacturers while he was Mayor of New York, because their products were used by criminals in commission of crimes. Why not sue the makers of ammunition? Without bullets guns are useless. Thousands of people die in auto accidents each year, why not outlaw cars and trucks?
New York City is also a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants.

Because Rudy is just a Democrat calling himself a Republican. Back in 2004, some guy went wacko in downtown Chicago and beat 2 people to death with a table leg. I always wondered why Mayor Richard Daley didn't try and sue Haworth furniture or the various furniture outlets in the Chicago and the surrounding area.

If he was successful, what is to stop someone from suing Ford or Chrysler if someone gets drunk and while driving kills someone else? Every person who was ever injured or lost a loved one to a drunk driver would then have a precedence set for suing the manufacture of the vehicle.
The lawsuits were not about the money, but about driving gun manufactures out of business and in a few instance with smaller manufactures, they succeeded. The only ones who win here are the lawyers. The entire notion is foolishness and I'm glad that these lawsuits can no longer happen.

No. That was an insane lawsuit. Guns are made for one thing and if they work properly how is that the manufacturer's fault?
