London (England), the Daily Telegraph (newspaper) provided a summary of the most recent cancer survival rates by country in an article published Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/08/21/ncancer121.xml

Liberals -- please tell me how your proposed US national health care program is going to avoid disasters such at the one the Telegraph describes.

[Cons: you may omit the sarcastic remarks -- the data speak for themselves.]

:-)

The USCI (Cancer Institute) actually lists our survivability rates even higher than the Telegraph does. It is a shame to read a nurse of all people suggesting we drag down everybody else just so she can jump on their backs.

"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." - Winston Churchill

If only he had listened to himself more. He actually was one of the movers and shakers in introducing socialized medicine to England.

Don't ever expect a liberal to listen. Their affiliation is emotional not logical.

Blah, blah, blah.
Have you ever actually known anyone with cancer or do you just read about it?
I watched a young lady fight cancer for almost 10 years and in that time no US doc could save her.
I work as a nurse and alot of people there lose their fight too.
What is your point, to scare people?
The people without health benefits, such as myself, how is our survival rate with cancer compared to the UK?
I'm thinking grim would be the answer.
Make healthcare affordable and accessable as it was before Bafoon and Co. The last time I could afford insurance on my entire family was 2001.
