There is thousands of candidates that are worthy of the presidency. None of them want to be put on a display for the next 18 months and give up their private lives. There are several men that I would like to see be put on the ballot and they would not need to run.

I would start with the current senators from Indiana (Lugar and Bayh), Billy Graham if he was 20 years younger, Jesse Ventura, Norman Schartcawf (sp), Colin Powell, Condy Rice, Jeb Bush, Donald Trump, George HW Bush, Jimmy Carter, NFL Commissioner Goddell, Bill Gates, Mayor BloomBurg, Judge Judy, Oprah W.

I know some of the names are for laughs, but all would bring something to the politics that is currently lacking. integrity, character and no politics.

Do not be terribly surprised if some other people enter the race just a little ways down the road.

I really feel that what's going on now is pretty much a media hoax. Everyone has gotten regally disgusted with the Bush gang, and so the media started the election campaign up about a year earlier than usual.

Personally I think there will be some surprising entries.

As for Fred Thompson... what is it with Republicans and actors?

Yes! I have picked my guy based upon the issues which we agree upon. It is Dennis Kucinich of Ohio. I will support him and vote for him in the primaries and the Democratic Nominee in the General Election.

If you want to match your views with the candidates I would suggest www.deph.net/candidate. I have found it to be helpful and surprising in just how much I agree with DK, but also to find the second, third and fourth choices.

'Worthy' is relative. We voted GW into office not once, but twice. So, yeh, by that standard, almost anyone is worthy.

Best candidate... s/he who makes it through the media vetting w/o sensationalisitic coverage of an illicit affair because we all know who a candidate may have slept with is far more important than even temper, decision-making skills, applicable experience, and leadership.

All that aside, I'd vote for Hillary because of the candidates I believe that she had a much more active role in Bill's adminstration than realized and therefore the most presidential experience. I think she learned from Bill's mistakes. I also think her priorities will be on domestic policy and improving our programs for ourselves. Internationally, I think she's already known and respected. No one can fix GW's messes, but I think she can do as well as anyone at improving the outcomes.

I have heard that Fred Thompson may officially announce his candidacy on Sept 6, he is a man I would vote for.

Based on their past voting record, I lean towards Kucinich. At least when he speaks he's telling it like it is; and not dancing around or side stepping the issue.

After Dennis, I find none of them worthy of the Presidency!

Dennis Kucinich: He is so straight forward and honest. Wouldn't that be refreshing. People that will stand on a podium and blatantly lie to your face to steal your good will, trust, money are evil.

worthy of the presidency , this time should be only the candidate who may be capable of protecting US interests ONLY , not the Israel's interests.

Myself (and a lot of the country) are just waiting for Fred Thompson to enter the race. He is definitely worthy of the Presidency.
