Much has been written about the prowess of the German military under Hitler, which plowed across Europe on 2 fronts. They were also technologically and tactically advanced for their time. How does the modern German military stack up against its predecessor?

I volunteer at the hospital and I'm usually there until 8:30 at night. This wasn't a big problem in the summer, but now that fall's approaching, it's getting darker faster and I'm getting kind of worried. I've heard of horrible things happening to young girls (I'm 16).
Anyway, one of my friends who works at a neighboring hospital told me that a volunteer there was raped by a security guard so this entire situation is making me feel VERY nervous.
Someone suggested to me that I carry pepper spary in my purse or pocket and I thought that would be a good idea, but I'm not over hte age of 18, which is when you can legally carry pepper spray.
Is there anything else I can do to protect myself? Sure, I'm being paranoid, but I think- better safe than sorry.

While women have been engaged in combat throughout history, should we as a nation purposefully put them in such a position? In recent history, the only nations that seem to have purposefully trained women for frontline combat were communist (Soviet Union, Vietnam, Nepal, etc) or socialist (Denmark, Finland, France, etc.). Technology increasingly makes the physical factor obsolete to the point where theoretically even underage children could perform combat duties. While women have shown themselves to be capable in many instances, is it morally and ethically right for our society and our nation?

We open our hearts to the US when they are in need. Two things come to mind immediately:
- a brave Canadian diplomat who hid kidnapped American diplomats for days and then smuggled them out of Iran
- shutting down every airport in our country on 9/11 and making emergency plans in case a US plane had to land anywhere in our country as well as opening our homes to stranded Americans

We fight for what we believe in:
- Canada was fighting Hitler two years before the US
- Canada had twice as many deaths per capita as Americans in WWII

It just seems that all Americans think of is "those b&*#$%$#$ didn't join us in Iraq". What happened to free will and free speech? Only if it is what they like? And why can't they just appreciate having a country for a neighbour that is a beautiful, friendly, peaceful, stable democracy instead of bashing our healthcare system or our people? Just wondering.

I would think that most would like to have a neighbour like us.

Or some OTHER holy Christian site--to keep the neo-Christian fundamentalists at bay--to deter an attack on Iran (let's just assume that Iran is like the US in this hypothetical scenario)--because it and Israel had a strong Christian faith and the country that (is) the United States was filled with neo-Christian terrorist groups...?

Would you advocate the complete and total bombing of that site like Tancredo wants with Mecca?

Its a bill to insure illegal immigrants would not get certain benefits from an agriculture spending bill. Not worth stealing to pass. But Demorats changed the tally to pass it.

"Never once did we in the majority attempt to steal a vote," Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., said Friday.

Repulicans chanted "shame, shame, shame," and then walked out.

kissed her and touched her breasts and tried to put his hand up her skirt.

the mother is inlove with this man and so is her daughter. she is allowing this man to still come around her daughter as long as there is adult supervision.

I told her that if i see him around her daughter again i will personally call the cops.

my question is.........if i call the cops and they deny it ever happened, would he still get arrested. i have children that can verify it happened too.

Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo believes that threatening Muslim extremists with the possibility of bombings on holy sites such as Mecca and Medina would provide a successful “deterrent” for future terrorist attacks against the United States.

Do you agree or disagree?

My boss offered other employees to work overttime, but not me. Is that unfair? The other people have worked their longer and maybe my boss feel they deserve to get the overttime pay, not me. I've only been there for 6 months. Maybe she feels they are better and harder workers than me and deserves it and not me.

Does a boss have a right to give overttime to whoever she wants to and feels deserves it or should she offer the overttime to everyone, to be fair? What is your opinion?

I understand if you're getting off a shift or going on , because you have access to the back, cash registers and the sensor things... But if you're not working one day and you just stop in to look around and shop on a day off- as a customer, can they do that? It doesn't seem right.

I work at a teen clothing store. And it's not like they just peek in there - they dig around all your stuff. It's embarrassing actually, I don't even shop there anymore because of it. One time I even forgot and my manager chased me down the mall to look through my stuff, and my friend was appalled at what she did.

I think if you come in as a customer, you should be treated like one too. It doesn't make any sense if you're going in there just to shop - they might as well check every other customer's bag when they leave too.

Doesn’t Cheney look like an evil villain from a movie? He looks like he is always planning something…always up to no good. He just needs to trade in the suit for a white lab coat.

Now Bush is trying to intimidate presidential candidates in order to silence criticism of his failures in the fight against terrorism.

Americans have a right to speak their minds--whether the Bush regime likes it or not.
