We all sold America out. Everyone decided they would rather buy products at dirt cheap prices instead of paying a little bit more for quality stuff made in America.
Well, this is what you get.
And its only getting started. China is about to start importing its first cars into America. Get this, Germany refuses to let these cars on their roads because they dont pass any crash tests. At a 40mph crash test the doors fell off. Thats JUNK.
They will sell like hotcakes here in America.

Obviously Americans don't mind it since they keep buying what China ships over to the U.S..
Edit:
"Really! We need someone in the government to say only USA made and send China packing This is an epidemic and needs to be put to rest! In the meantime try to only buy USA made! They all are out to get us and you can take that to the bank!"
There are hardly any products that are made in the USA. If we immediately halted purchasing anything from China, then we would have hardly anything. The U.S. economy would collapse.
Obviously the entanglment of the American and Chinese economies was done on purpose because things on such a massive scale do not happen over night.

No, it is not just you.. but one point to consider.. even tho it is coming from China.. why is it. Don't tell me that all these American companies don't know how things are made ... if its cheaper labour to have it done in China the companies will try to sell it here... and their profit margin is even higher because good are being made by virtual slaves.
However, lately, people have spoken up and the companies now have to try and make themselves look good.. like it is all a big surprise. When ever has a huge corporation cared one damn bit about it's consumer? When they closed our factories and sent the jobs overseas to cheaper labour.. no... we all have to be watch dogs on imported good, because you can bet neither our government or big business is going to tell us the truth.

It is because China is still a developing country, its not a developed country like the states. And its hard to stamp down those illegal food makers at the moment where the country is big and loads of corrupted officials, politicians involving. Theres an old saying in China, "Little captial, earned big returns". They dont believe in quality.

It's ridiculously cheap!
Quite a fair bit of crappy products come from China, but as a whole, the average quality of everything we get from China is fairly decent. My pants, my Nintendo DS, my cooking spatula, my office chair... just the tip of the iceberg of Chinese products in my home, and all of acceptable quality. I've found products from Korea and Taiwan to be unreliably breakable, mind you.

Well, a few facts,
95% of all shoes in America are made in China
75.6% of all Toys are made in China
43% of toothpaste is made in China
68% of cars sold in America are made in China
So, ask why America cannot make anything anymore.
