legendre_22 (below) Great to see you have a Top Secret Clearance and are able to share the details of the spy program with me.

In other words, how would you or anyone know that what you claim is true?

There is no evidence that he ever did Domestic wiretaps. The numbers were recovered from Al Quada cell phones and records in Afganistan. That makes them overseas calls from possible enemy leaders. it is to our interest to know what an enemy is planning, similar tactics have been used in both world wars. he has every right as Commander in Chief to obtain intel in order to better protect innocent American lives. Or would you rather let thousands Of Americans die to protect the civil rights of the murderers?

He doesnt. Everyone's communications are interceptable. Encyphered and encrypted comms can be broken. The question over the legality of said wiretaps is just a smokescreen to ensure that people have some feeling of ownership and control over their representative government. However, like everything in life, domestic espionage comes down to economics.
The government has a fixed ammount of resources to devote to domestic wiretaps. On top of that, every move that they make is under scrutiny. Their costs for operating their program are extremly high, and therefore, they will not devote resources to a certain target unless they have sufficient grounds to justify the allocation of resources against this target.
I believe that even the best efforts of the government to do anything evenly remotely close to 'the right thing' are a huge waste of time energy and money, and like most things that are wasteful, funding will be cut. If their 'collectors' don't obtain tangible results, this program will fail. Either way, if you're not doing anything illegal, I wouldn't worry about it. You've got only 1 1/2 years left of Bush, and then we'll be discussing a whole new set of problems.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNTjc

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

I make phone calls overseas all the time and I occasionally discuss terrorism with my relatives during such phone calls. I talk about Ayman Al Zawahri, Osama and a slew of others in the news. I also send rather large amounts of money to some of my relatives so there is a possibility that I might have been monitored at one time or the other and I welcome it. I am not going to put my puny little desires for privacy while I am conducting my mundane life ahead of the welfare of this nation. We are at war and I do not mind making some sacrifices.

Well because loon dogs do not promote their activities to the public. How else do you think we can catch them? Hope the write a nice love letter before they blow something else up?

On the point of getting permission to do it is just plain stupid. All it takes is some Benedict Arnold to tip off the loon dogs about having their phones tapped. If you don't have terrorist ties than you have nothing to worry about.

It is much easier to control the people when they think some one is looking over their shoulder all the time.

Every time I hear some one say, "There is no proof that there has been domestic wiretaps", it just makes me spit! Monitoring phone calls and such over seas does NOT require the issuing of a warrant! (Such as it would be in Iraq and Afghanistan) Only when these wiretaps are used inside the borders of the United States was it required to obtain a warrant, notice I said WAS! The only reason to suspend this practice is to make it easier and stealthier to monitor the citizenry of the United States!
Show me some proof that they DON'T do wiretapping on the common man!
