Healthcare for children or cheaper cigarettes?

I ask this because Bush is going to veto a bill that will give healthcare to children by taxing cigarettes.

70% to 80% of the American people are disappointed in the American government(President,Congress,House).
This is the highest it has been in the History of the United States.
The time for the 2 party failure is about to end because the American people will refuse to support either failed party.

My mom recently received a letter from a law office stating that my mom has an unpaid balance of close to five thousand dollars. It states she had opened an account for a chase bank mastercard back in the mid 90's.
We received a thorough credit report. And it states that she had never opened this account; she never had a mastercard; her credit is fine; and that there's no unpaid balance at this amount.
If we're taken to court, will this credit report be concrete proof of my mom's innocence?

Thank you

President Bush signed legislation Friday that intensifies the anti-terrorism effort at home, shifting money to high-risk states and cities and expanding scrutiny of air and sea cargo.

Republicans generally backed the bill while stressing their own administration's success in stopping another major terrorist attack.

It was passed in the House on a 371-40 vote and 85-8 in the Senate.

According to me, America should use all its weapon testing ground as Pakistan especially bombs, so that u dont have to send troops in search of Islamic terrorists there and by testing weapons it serves two purpose one to flush out terrorists and also test ur weapons so both ways it is a win win situation..what do u think aobut this ?
But I am sure Bush does not want to hurt the feelings of friend Pervez Musharaf!!

The Democrat Controlled Congress with the 13% approval rating is doing what democrats do best; take your money!

Unfortunately, Democrats have approved a budget that fails to extend the bulk of the 2001 and 2003 tax relief — most of which is set to expire in the next few years — resulting in a staggering tax hike of at least $736 billion. Most notably, the Democrats’ budget fails to extend the lower tax rate on capital gains and dividends and most of the income tax relief we’ve passed, the two provisions that have done the most to spur the strong economic growth of the past several years. In addition to this massive tax hike, Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee are also proposing another growth-stifling tax hike to pay for alternative minimum tax relief, this one a 4 percent tax hike on higher income Americans and small business owners.

The Federal Government has taken the unprecedented step of offering support for an individual Regional Hospital in a critical marginal election.

We may not be as qualified as the Federal Treasurer, and his election campaign staff, but we can smell abuse of public funds as well as any reasonable man.

It would take $200 mil AUD to provide decent housing, a job, education and healthcare for every indigenous man, woman and child in the Northern Territory, and the top end of Australia. Yet the government has opted to spend $600 mil on providing a contract for solar hot water heaters to manufacturing companies so that our well-fed children have hot water to wash their hands with after a piss. And a further $600 mil will be spent rennovating the Sydney Opera House.

If that represents the epogy of Liberal Parth wisdom during a pre-election campaign, then perhaps it would be prudent to look for more down-to-earth leaders for our nation.

Bush has ignored the Rule of Law and undermined our system of Checks & Balances and Separation of Powers in many ways. So far you've been tolerant of this.

But is it wise to pass along expanded and unaccountable powers to his successors?

We won't always have Republican Presidents. We will have some Democrats. Do you want them to have the unconstitutional powers Bush has seized? Powers that could be used against people like YOU?

We can't expand Presidential powers when there's a Republican, contract them when there's a Democrat, then expand them again when there's a Republican. We need a consistent standard. We need a return to Constitutionality.

It's not about revenge on Bush. It's about restoring the office of the Presidency to what it's supposed to be: Not that of a tyrant. You haven't cared so far. It's time to now. OR admit that you want a Generalissimo in charge, not a President.
