JESSE MACBETH: TESTIMONY OF A FORMER US ARMY RANGER IN IRAQ

Excerpts:
"When we were doing the night raids in the houses, we would pull people out and have them all on their knees and zip-tied. We would ask the man of the house questions. If he didn't answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head. We would keep going, this was our interrogation. He could be innocent. He could be just an average Joe trying to support his family. If he didn't give us a satisfactory answer, we'd start killing off his family until he told us something. If he didn't know anything, I guess he was SOL."

they pulled us in one by one into the office and said each one of us did the same thing. they suspended us all, but there is no way i would do what they said.I asked for proof which they said they did not have. all the others have been called back to work , i have called twice a week for over a month now only to find out our HR was forced to quit for messing with peoples jobs. I cannot get anything out of the company and I feel I should have been back to work because i did not do what they had stated. is there anything I can do? sueing is out of the question cause they win all their cases. I feel i was wrongly suspended and cannot find work now. I am almost 50 yrs old. thanks for any input

A couple of days ago, I posted a not thanking those who served in the US Military for their service. Don't look for it now, I was given a violation and the post was removed. I can't imagine what was so horrible about thanking people who fully deserve my appreciation. I was given no explanation as to why the post was a violation or why ot was removed. If this one is removed, I will complain LOUDLY and will consider legal action.

Thank You for you service?

There seems to be a LOT of people who really do not like her. I am not sure if I like her or if I want to see the Clintons return. I like Obama but I think he may be too green. Shouldnt we Dems choose someone that can actually beat a strong REP and win back the presidency?

The war, the courts...too much is at stake for another loss.

George Bush - "Either You're with us or you're against us"

Theodore Roosevelt - "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else. "

We the people need to speak up regarding matters that concern our lives. Global disasters, child molesters, pricing of gas and electricity, home sale prices, employment opportunities for the low income, homelessness and the forgotten older generation without means to exist. Representation in the government is not apparent. Senators are to busy with prostitution and corruption to care about WE THE PEOPLE. Do you find it offensive?
Write your representative and voice an opinion.

I recently asked this question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhBOw5g3erFAHR.zLEFhl9_sy6IX?qid=20070731115900AAiqp2l

Only one person answered the question, the others were on a rant about taxes. Now, let's try this again. For those of you who are opposed to universal healthcare or universal insurance, who takes care of your elderly parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles. Do they have medicare? How is their insurance? Are any of them on a fixed income? Have any of them been denied medical procedures or medication that might make them more comfortable or prolong their lives?

A lot of the folks who lean to the conservative side ARE intelligent, please try to answer the question WITHOUT a rant on taxes? I'm not asking about increased taxes, I'm asking about the people in your life that you love.

No trolls please.

My mother who is 70 heard someone trying to in through her kitchen window after mid-nite last nite, which obviously startled her and she called the police. She called me directly afterwards and i immediately left, and got to her within 5mins (drive) armed with a hammer. When i got there were signs of an attempt. 45mins later and still no police. Today still no officer or a call to ensure that she's ok and safe. This is absolutely disgusting. Regardless of whether or not the person got in the police force havent responded. It may seem to some i am over-reacting, but to think she lives alone and for all the police know totally isolated and without family or friends, they havent checked to see if this woman is lying dead in her home. What is it with our so glorified police that its ok for them to totally disregard the call of a distressed woman but harrass some, often innocent, people on the road. Or worse still... prefer to sit in the office with a cup of tea?

Senator Hillary Clinton is pulling away from the field in the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination but remains weaker than other major Democratic contenders in match-ups with top Republicans.

Both candidates are well liked within their own party,
Seventy-two percent (72%) of Republicans view Giuliani favorably while 64% say the same about Thompson.

The former First Lady is viewed favorably by just 49% and unfavorably by 48%.

So, somewhere along the line someone in my family immigrated here...therefore (some) people say that I am an immigrant.

Wouldn't that make Native Americans immigrants too? If you know ANYTHING about anthropology, you would know that (while there are different theories on how they got here) they immigrated here as well.

There is the Clovis Theory stating that they came over the "land bridge" of the Bering Strait....but there are also Pre-Clovis artifacts that date prior to that...(here are some links to get you started)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clovis_culture

http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_701509129_5/First_Americans.html

So, if Native Americans are immigrants too...how are they ANY different than anyone else that is here?

OR...is this just a pick and choose the dates that you would like???

Fact is - Al-Queda and other fanatic Muslim operations are in at least 63 nations around the world. Iraq is just another convinient trainings ground for them. Many are recruited in Mosques in Southfield, Detroit or London, England. The Sunnis would through them out of Iraq in a heart beat, if the USA would let them. Or am I totally of the rocker here.

I think most Americans want out of Iraq because the situtation seems hopeless and unwinnable. If General Petraeus reports progress in settling the turmoil in Iraq this fall, would you favor a continued effort to stabilize the country? Or, do you favor a withdrawal no matter what?

OK , this time it's even more unbelievable than before . Sigh.. ..Liberal Democrat Senators and Congressmen are now hinting that the bridge collapse was the fault of the President . Liberal Websites are doing the same . Liberal idiots on this site are parroting it as well . Un-freakin-believable !!
Note to Libs - Whoever told you that the President is responsible for each state's bridges. . . WAS LYING . OK ? LYING . And it doesn't take but 5 minutes to research it for yourself .
In a related story , new research has come out showing that hatred is up 33% in the U.S. . . . Now , I've been tryin to make sense to you liberals for quite some time , and I don't care if you want to disagree on POLICY , but holy sh_t man, enough is enough with your hatred . This is stupid and destroying our country . Nevermind the fact that there are many fools and young people who believe anything they read that's negative .

Do You Agree That This Idiotic Hatred Must Stop ?

Have we not learned a damn thing from 6000 years of history?
It truly doesn't matter, if each year we spend 1 Trillion or a penny, or another 20 years in Iraq, 25,9 Million of the 26 million people there don't want us. What are we waiting for, Christmas, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny?

Has it ever been considered to put a limit on the amount of kids you can have on gov't assistance? Women wouldnt be popping out babies for a check and maybe theyd give a crap about the 2-3 they are allowed to have. Dont they have this in China? Not saying you cant have more than 3 kids, you just cant get more than 3 taken care of by the state under your care. Would this work?

what things do you do that are governed by a law. For instance if you ride in a car, note the laws which govern drivers’ licenses, traffic rules, car registration, etc. If you ride your bicycle, note laws which govern helmets, which side of the road you should ride on and so on.
