Ok--not looking for a Republican rant. Of course, you are entitled to think what you want and support the person you think is best, but you are not answering my question!

*************Everyone that answered you is wrong, if Hillary wins the nod, (most likely she will) she will choose Bill Richardson as her running mate, and here is why. Bill Richardson, unlike any other candidate is a Governor with a long list of accomplishments and accolades, he is also the only contender from the WEST. Why the west is important you say, well the Republicans barley defeated the Democrats with their states, and Bill will turn over a couple of swing states like New Mexico, and Nevada, and maybe most likely Florida with the Hispanic vote turnout. Bill is doing twice as good as any other candidate in his home state vs. Hillary, and Edwards, in their home state etc. Of course the east coast and northerners love Edwards and Obama, but Hillary can get those states on her own, she needs someone from the West. Also you have to ask why are Clinton advisers following Richardson around on his speeches, maybe because he once worked for Bill Clinton and he has an excellent foreign policy...... Besides Bill and Hillary sound great together don't you think! Bill and Hillary 08' --Catchy Richardson Clinton 08 even catcher...............********************

I hope for Obama, but reality is Hillary will win the nomination. If she was smart, she would choose Obama for a running mate, and odds are, between the two, there could be a Democratic president in office for the next 16 years (provided she gets re-elected in 2012). If she is not smart, she will choose Edwards as a running mate, who would most likely lose the next election because Hillary does not make enough changes.

Strange scenario - but fun to think about:

First: Reasons

Clinton will not get democratic nomination because there are many who simply will not vote for her. They believe she really doesn't have any vision for America (other than to get elected), do not trust her (billing records hidden in white-house during whitewater investigation), believe she is all about politics, strident, and condesending.

Obama will not get nomination because he is simply not experienced enough. We have been waiting for substantive policy announcements, and when he makes them, he gets crucified.

Edwards will not get nomination. He is too liberal and really has no support.

Seeing this, Al Gore comes to the rescue. He nominates someone as his running mate. Unless it is Colin Powell, Gore gets nomination and runs a campaign that DOES NOT WIN election.

So, who wins election.

Well, the red states from prior election will remain red, EXCEPT Ohio, which will vote democrat due to the scandals in that state that have left the grass-roots organization in scandal. The Republicans cannot win the election without Ohio.

The Democrats pick up Ohio, which is enough votes to carry the election, right? WRONG. Because if Bloomberg enters election, HE wins New York (only state he will win).

Bloomberg prevents Democrats from getting electoral college victory.

Neither Republicans nor Democrats get enough electoral college votes (and remember, there is only one ballot). This sends the election to the House of Representatives (and now popular vote REALLY does not matter).

In the House, each state delegation gets one vote. And they select --- NANCY PELOSI, their speaker, to be president of the United States.

You heard it here first.

It is quite obvious that Hillary Clinton will be the Democrats choice for 2008. Her outstanding performances in previous debates only highlights her ability to lead right from the start when she takes office in Jan. 20. This will be due greatly to the fact that she has incredible insight and experience on a wide array of issues like stem cells, social security, education, and health care. As she will be nominated, so does a vice-presidential candidate too. My best judgement on how things are going at the moment, it will be Barack Obama as vice-president and Hillary Clinton as President. This will be the dream ticket everyone on the democratic side has been wishing for since women and blacks were allowed to vote more than a century ago. Not only will this ensure a win in 2008 for the democrats, but it also ensures that Barack Obama will continue to lead the party once Hillary Clinton finishes her term in office because he will be become wildly popular and he will surely gain more experience in his years as vice president. This really is how it is going down on Nov. 2008. This will only allow for democrats to dominate the oval office for the next 16 years.

Hillary Clinton will be our next president, period. All of you people making up these phanthom poll numbers should read the news. The fact is Hillary Clinton leads in the Democratic polls and she is more favored to win the General election over all the Republicans. Given the economic situation America is in today we all should be supporting a Democrat. We can pay 600 billion in Iraq, but we can't even fix our bridges or fund Universal Healthcare. Republicans suck.

Actually Clinton ties Thompson in a theoretical race, and Obama beats Thompson, Mccain, and Giuliani.

The Dems will nominate Hillary though, b/c she's a Democratic faithful who has a lot of history with the party. Too many moderates and conservatives have switched parties and they don't want to nominate some1 who will.

Most likely Hillary already has the Democratic nod for her to run. She will pick someone who is a controlable moderate Democrat to keep with her image of being moderate.

Those of us with sense, are not fooled by the image she is trying to sell. Hopefully, most of America has sense enough not to elect her. If not, I hope the Electoral College does not reflect the popular vote.

Clinton/Edwards

They let the cat out of the bag last month when they did not know their mics were hot and discussed setting their plans into place. They were discussing limiting the number of democratic candidates allowed to participate in the debates. I thought this was America and people should have a choice? You do, as long as it is a choice they choose for you to make.

The Democratic nomination not an important issue. It does not matter who they nominate. When Fred Thompson comes into the race for the GOP, it is over. Call the race right then. Polls show Fred Thompson leading the GOP, and some polls show Fred Thompson leading Hilliary. This is before he even declares.
