You got that right ,for years they have known this, it takes a tragedy before they even say something, that they are going to do something, they will fix 1 bridge in every state and say we did something, they haven't even taken care of the great people of New Orleans and ,President B,Bush had the nerve to call them refugees, President Bush and his wife are going to visit the scene of course he will have his sleeves rolled up like he's one of us , that is what politicians do like there helping and getting there hands dirty, you wont see one speck of dirt on them, what a dingle berry.

This question contradicts your question about tax dollars disappearing in Iraq. Obviously, it's not the amount of taxes we pay, it's the way the government is wasting them. If you truly believe there isn't enough tax money to fix a freakin bridge, then you are completely ignorant. The government doesn't have any problems coming up with money for missiles.

The question ought to be:

Should motorists think twice about crossing a bridge in a state that has been under the stewardship of democratics or maintained by Unionized Government employees or low bid private contractors forced by liberals to employ DBE's regardless of performance history and qualification?

Cutting taxes didn't reduce the government budget, which had plenty of room for corrupt pork-barrel spending. The Federal government's budget is over $2.5 trillion, so there was plenty, if anybody had asked for the money. And the state of Minnesota had a budget surplus of over $2 billion.

Again, plenty of money. That's not the problem, fact-free lefty.

As should the spend-spend-spend lefties when they authorize our tax dollars to things like subsidizing some artist who desecrates the flag and calls it art.

We can slash taxes greatly if we are more wise about what our tax dollars are spent on!

That's odd. Minnesota has had a Democratic state legislature for the last 17 years.

What exactly did they do to fix that bridge?

Apparently, not much.
