I've been a Marine for awhile now and was active duty for several years and never heard that. It sounds like it could be a unit motto or something though.

The Marine Corps motto is "Semper Fidelis". Having served in all three Marine Divisions I cannot recall those words being emblazoned on any building.

The Captain correctly gives the TRUE motto of the USMC... as any Marine can.

Now... a search of Bartlett's Quotations for "No Freedom Without Law" gives no attribution for that quote, BUT

"where there is no law, there is no freedom" is attibuted to John Locke (1632–1704), British philosopher.

Now there MAY be a USMC building with that quote... but I can't find it.

Good Luck
