70% to 80% of the American people are disappointed in the American government(President,Congress,House).
This is the highest it has been in the History of the United States.
The time for the 2 party failure is about to end because the American people will refuse to support either failed party.

I consider both parties conservative.
They never spend money on what the people need. But they open toll roads to tax the people instead and similar methods to hide what they all really are-money hoarding scum.
The two parties will be gone in 2 to 3 years.
Americans will hate them by then if they dont already.

Roman citizens also thought the end of the Roman Empire would not come in their lifetime.
They were wrong.
US corruption is MUCH higher now than Rome was when it collapsed.

As always the economy which is now on a path to weakness will lead the end.
Greed killed Rome and Greed is the driver behind the US Government and the Two Party System.

I see what you're getting at, but I don't see it happening. We're constantly going to have to choose between the lesser of two evils.

However, if you look at history, nearly ALL of our politicians are very rich and many of them are very out of touch with the average working citizen. This isn't much different than what we saw happen with things in history like the French Revolution. I expect that the masses can only be pushed so hard, long, and far before they finally snap. This is why I strongly believe that our government is heading down a path which will eventually force the masses to revolt and reform. Maybe not in our lifetime, but people will eventually get fed up enough with it.

Oh no! Please don't liquidate the parties.

They are my favorite source of entertainment.

This forum would close up for sure and we'll be left giving answers on how to change the vacuum cleaner bag.

Say it ain't so!

Besides:
The two party system has been very successful. Even a cursory examination of American history reveals that our complaints are not new. This refrain has been reverberating since 1776. We still manage to be the most powerful, most compassionate, most generous, most moral nation in the history of the world in spite of our occasional weaknesses, in considerations, digressions and selfishness.

Instead of just hoping it goes away, join it and work to change it for the better from within no matter how frustrating.
That's what you call courage and patriotism.

They're dug in pretty deep and although they appear to be competing, they have an interest in preserving the two party structure. I think people will continue voting for the "lesser" of two evils.

One can only hope. I consider myself to be a liberal conservative, and a republican, but I too am sick of being forced to play the two party game. We get politicians instead of intelligent representatives of the people.
