I am tired of bush saying "Give me something I can sign" when what he means is give me what I want, and the democrats caving to him. Its not that Bush can't sign the bill it's that he won;t, why don't the democrats in congress stand up to him? I know I would feel alot better about them if they did and I expect most republicans, (or at least the ones that aren't militant O'Reilly's republicans) would have more respect for them if they did.

He voted against the war, foreign policy and dislikes the idea of the Federal Reserve system that automatically places everyone in debt with their made up interest rates. America needs to wake up and demand freedom and liberty the same way our American Constitution does.

He doesn't want to have to answer to Congress; so why does he think he has the right to make Congress answer to him? He has fought our system of checks and balances tooth and nail... now he wants to preserve the parts of it that benefit him? Is it really supposed to work that way?

I mean that's what this is about right? Stablizing an oil rich Center over there? But ignore the whole oil money thing. If you support the war and think we can "finish" over there, then how long should we stay? Should we be there dying everyday in the middle of their civil war?

I rent a backhouse upstairs in San Bernardino, Ca and have lived here for 3yrs, even before the owners now, moved in here. Once I had my son I asked the owners for permission to put upstairs a small washer and dryer. Since we had no hookups they use regular 120volt electricity and connect to the kitchen sink. Recently though they started stating that too much water leaks and that septic system is getting to full too fast. Eventually they told me not to wash anymore. Is that legal?... they didn't say it was for a little while or anything... just not to wash anymore period. I have a 1yr old son and this is very inconvenient.

The bill listed that legislators should be prohibited by law to accept gifts, free plane rides, and favors from lobbyists, and wealthy donors.
That seems fair to me, but some legislators were opposing it, saying that it didn't do enough, and it was just a crowd-pleaser, and that it was exacerbating and concealing the problem. It seems to me that the problem would indeed be partially solved by these measures.
