What is some of the best jobs offered by the Navy? Also, which jobs give you the most amount of time out at sea.

I always thought QM was the best. You all ways know where your going... They can serve on surface or subs. Rotation is fairly good and they are in demand so the advancement is good. However, it won't take long for the Navy to depend on GPS and moving maps.

As my late father-in-law used to say, the best rating in the Navy (he retired after 35 years) was Master Chief. According to him, once someone became a commissioned officer, they turned into instant a**holes. As for best jobs and most time at sea, I couldn't help you, as he has been deceased for three years and is not available to assist with that question.

AT is the best rate.
Most time out at sea..... probably BM or maybe SH
