He voted against the war, foreign policy and dislikes the idea of the Federal Reserve system that automatically places everyone in debt with their made up interest rates. America needs to wake up and demand freedom and liberty the same way our American Constitution does.

I am a Ron Paul supporter!!! If he were as silly as they say, why wouldn't the media take the time to put him in the spot light so that the world can see how silly he really is??? It's because he "isn't" silly & he makes a lot of sense & our government (big business) doesn't want the American people to hear what he has to say. When ever someone is smart enough to do the research his/her self, they find that he is the best candidate out there. Here is a link for anyone who wants to know the truth about him...

I'll give you my belief: Ron Paul would be perfect as a presidential candidate....if this was the election of 1808 not 2008. Id like to say: Mr. Paul, 200 years of Loose Constructionist costitutional theory has gotten us where we are today. Ron Paul is a hypocrite: All his support comes from the internet, which is a technological advancement made available to us by law through the "Necessary and Proper" clause, Article 1 Section 8 of the constitution, which is the basis of loose construction. Ron Paul is a strict constructionist. Anyone who knows anything about the constitution could say that. There's also one more thing... for his supporters: Strict Construction works fine on paper and in speeches, but as that legendary champion of Strict Construction, Thomas Jefferson, proved: when you come to power, it's all different and you want more power, resorting to the "Necessary and Proper" clause to get you that power, making yourself in effect a loose constructionist. For those of you who do not know what those 2 terms mean: Strict: If constitution doesn't prohibit it then its illegal. Loose: If the constitution doesn't prohibit it then its legal Here is a good example: Prior to the 15th and 19th ammendments, Nowhere in the constituition did it say specifficaly that African Americans or Women could vote. Since he's a strict constructionist, Ron Paul would have voted against these 2 ammendments. A bit extreme but true

If you like Ron Paul, take a look into your local Libertarian party. Ron Paul is the candidate that most closely represents the Libertarian values that follow the true letter of the constitution.

I cannot name a single politician who I believe is closer to the original intent and PLAIN TEXT of the constitution. I doubt anyone else here could, either.

If you think American foreign policy in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s had NOTHING to do with 9/11, (even though bin Laden is very specific in his list of grievances) I would say YOU are the 'nut job.'

He may not be perfect, but he's the best we've got so far. His opponents just want America to go down the same slippery slope it has been for decades - they are afraid of actually following the Constitution after it has been neglected for so long.

From what I've seen of his voting record -- no, he's not a champion of the constitution. He's a champion of his own particular version of it, as long as it gets him what he thinks is important.
