No opinions are like vssholes, everyone has one. What really matters is who shows up to the polls and cast their vote. Then we find out who are really committed to their beliefs.

I agree with most here, they should not be banned. Voting is a right and a responsibility and as such should not be taken lightly.

Reading some of the hatred on this board is actually good for me. It shows me some of the beliefs currently held out there. Armed with this knowledge, I can hold meaningful discussions with some of my Dem friends. It also allows me the opportunity to look at my opinion thru a fresh viewpoint.

We need to keep the freedom of speech in this country, no matter how lazy, uninformed, or uninvolved the individual is. Take away their voice, and the power structure will look for criteria to silence more people later on.

Don't see that as being beneficial to open discussion. Their opinion doesn't matter? Now that would make about as much sense as saying that if someone didn't vote for a law, then they don't have to abide by it.

Besides, how would you verify if someone voted anyway.

No! Every citizen of this country has the freedom of speech (until libs pass the anti free speech fairness doctrine).

can't agree. We have freedom of speech, after all.

Though my mother actually got me back into voting by basically telling me the same thing... if you don't vote you don't have the right to complain.

People who are not registered to vote, should keep their opinions to themselves. If they want to vote, then they are doing something about how they feel..if they aren't then they are just complaining.

just because they can't vote doesn't mean their opinion doesn't mater.
