Well my garbage cans were knocked over this morning, at least they're eating well. I guess a raise would be when I throw out something good.

If you're talking about a Democrat in Congress, the same way the Republicans get theirs. It's an automatic $4,900 a year cost-of-living pay increase. They can vote to reject that increase, which has been done... not during the last ten years though. Here's a record of their pay from 1789 - 2007:

Form a union...elect more democrats...democrats are the working class, so they may just get a second job. They do the things that will improve society .vs. manipulate the government and steal from society-republicans

The ones I admire submit it to the will of the people, or refuse to accept any pay raises until they have been reelected. A number of members of Congress have done exactly that.

The same way anyone else does -- It depends on who they work for. Political party has nothing to do with the process.

Whine about there not being enough welfare. Then threaten not to vote for their guy if he doesn't give them a raise. All this is done on a couch. hehe

I earn mine, and bargain for them. But it certainly would be easier to go the Republican route and just legislate myself richer...

By working hard just like anyone else...obviously.
Why does this question make you sound like a dimwit?
Because you make stereotypes any you have nothing to back them up.
