I know that the supreme court has ruled that when cops try to get someone to sign a voluntary search of them or their residence, it must be voluntary without coercion. Now I know the mere threat of getting a warrant is not coercion, but what if an officer tells you inside an interview room at the police station that if you do not sign a consent form, they will turn this interview into a detention and obtain a search warrant because they already have enough evidence. Now the threat of a warrant is OK but the threat of detaining you, that will definitely compel someone to sign a voluntary consent to search. Even if you have nothing to hide, because to be detained for a period of time is not a good thing no matter what the outcome is. Now I am 100 percent for the police, but would you want someone searching your house, guilty or not. I know the term if you have nothing to hide, it doesn't matter, but that not the point.

My husband and I are planning to join the army. While my husband is already in good shape, im not. Im less than 30% body fat so they'll probably let me in basic training, but im afraid i'll struggle with it because i cant even run half a mile without stopping. Was it tough for you? I dated a guy about 4 years ago for about 5 months. We only had sex twice in that time. He was older than me (about 18 years) and I quickly decided the relationship wasn't right for me. But, after 4 years, he still calls me at least twice a month. He still tells me that he loves me and wants us to get back together. I haven't initiated contact with him since I broke things off 4 years ago. I'm in another relationship now with someone I think I could marry. I don't want anything to do with this man, but he won't take NO for an answer. He rides by my house. He calls me at work. He calls my cell phone and blocks his number. I've changed my number more than once, but he always manages to get it somehow. I don't know what else I can do to make him understand that it is OVER between us and that I DON'T LOVE HIM! What else can I do? I really need some good advice.

what people compose the definiton of the word "COURT"?
Court of law? Who are the members of the court? When the judge addresses the lawyers? Is the D.A. part of the court?

I appreciate & support our troops 100%!! So, i don't want you all to get the wrong idea by what i'm about to say. It's simply an opinion!
Okay, i don't understand how America is against gang violance & killing but then again they have our troops fighting & killing for our freedom! Like, if you really think about it Iraq is one gang & America is another gang fighting for what is ours, right? I'm not really sure how to explain what i'm trying to say but i'm trying! Lol. Anyway, so don't you all think America is being hypictricical because shouldn't they be SHOWING us that violance is not that anwser & gangs are bad rather then initiating it??

went to pick my wife up at work. 1:00 am. while driving to get her i drove through a small town. the speed limit was going from 55 to 40. i crossed the line into the town doing just about 40. I was pulled over. the officer asked if i knew why he pulled me over. i replied no. (which was the truth) he replied i was speeding i was going 43 mph. he ran my info and said he was letting me go with a warning. I drive a brand new minivan not some hotrod. this really bumms me out. ive always had respect for the police and law. after talking to other people even in that town they say they have had similar things happen to them. so what my question is. why would the police do this. pretty mutch make up an excuse to stop someone not doing anything wrong good luck. god bless

earlier tonight me and my girlfreind were parked facing out of this long gravel driveway the leads to a house thats being built. well tonight while we were doing our thing some guy pulls in the driveway, blocking me, and is like "this is private property, im the home owner" so i was like ok ill leave, and then he said "im getting your tag and calling the cops. so i left, only to realize he followed me. so i kinda had to speed and run a red light to get him off me, cause, honestly i thought he was gunna hurt us, the "chase" lastesd like freaking 15 minutes....my question is... can he really do something to me? i mean, i didnt mess with anything on his property, didnt give him problems about leaving, and wasnt even close to his house...sorry this is long just kinda freaking out right now

After hearing about this pedophilia freak Jack McClellan on TV I was interested in his site. My question... Is it illegal to view such a site? And also is it legal to search and find other such sites with the intent of reporting them to the authorities? Not talking about joining a site just finding one that has obvious child pornography and reporting it to the feds? Is it illegal?

My bf of 3yrs recently went away for bootcamp. It was really hard at first but now I find myself to be somewhat okay with him being gone. Allowing anyone to carry a gun is going to make the world a safer place? If the US didn't allow its citizens to arm themselves to the teeth in the first place, how would this help? How would you be able to function knowing that at any moment a person can pull a firearm on you?
