I do think its a significant problem yes.
It is making me take a closer look at Thompson myself, and is going to pin Thompson to proving himself on this issue when before it was more or less settled.
I will be watching Thompson closely on this issue, as I am sure many others will now as well.
This is a MAJOR issue with Republicans this time around. I would say it is nearly as important as abortion (maybe even more so).
I will not vote for anyone that supports open borders, amnesty, or that will not enforce our current law.

I didn't realize he was, and yes it is a problem. I don't know much about Thompson, and appreciate you letting me know about it. Open Borders will never work living next door to a country who's population is exploding out of control.

It's the first tell-tale hint that Thompson is a brilliant actor - fooling all the Republican malcontents into supporting him. When he's in office he'll be just another globalizing disappointment interested in nothing more than enriching the same crowd Bush works for.
You read it here first.

Yes
But keep in mind that to be a good leader one must have views from all sides.
It is what is done with this that counts.
I am one if I were in these position of leadership would have close to me my enemy so I could see what they thought and said and what they did not convey.
With this said it is still to early to judge any of them other the the records. Which most do not act on their know what is right and wrong only to sit idly on the fence.
Yes it does say some thing but what just yet and how much influence is this guy?

Fred Thompson believes the nation loses sovereignty if we can not secure the boarders. It doesn't matter what his campaign manager or anyone else thinks.

Spencer Abraham is Anti-Israel, so yeah, it's probably a problem already. We already knew Fred was CFR, so you never know what you are gonna get.
