We already DID WIN THE WAR IN IRAQ. Does anyone here see Saddam still terrorizing and torturing his people of the Kurds? Does anyone here still see a dictatorship? (libs... apply corny and predictable joke about Bush being a dictator here _______ . As you would rather support and praise Saddam and show no compassion to the people in Iraq)

We have overthrown the regime and now we are in the rebuilding proccess and the keep the peace process. Now, I know libs don't like history or anything but we did this and in some cases are still doing this for quite some time in many of the countries where we have battled for freedom and our allies.

This still being said I wouldn't put Bush as the best or even in the top 3. He is up there though. This generation has no clue what responsibility and courage are anymore.... It is the "me" generation and to a degree I am sorry to be associated with it.

Quid... I must of missed it.... when were we attacked again on our soil since 911? I must have missed that. And taking out MANY key personell from Al Queda certainly would do nothing to that organization. You could take out the Board of Directors and Key Engineers to any company and they would be just fine I'm sure. And what makes you think our troops are murdering civilians? Does our military hide amongst them or do we employ suicide bombers? Also, even if you saw your friend murdered right in front of you... would that compell you to leave your family and go on a mass killing spree which you would be willing to ultimately strap a bomb to your chest to kill others? I'm thinking probably not because you probably wern't raised with a hate structured upbringing.

BTW... under Clinton we were hit 4 - 5 times with terrorist attacks.... WTC, USS Cole, a few Embassies... but hey... who's counting right? I wonder if 911 would have happened if Clinton had a spine and sent a clear message not to mess with us?

I was hoping this was a joke, but perhaps it was a serious question. Bush is basically the acting puppet for a large crime syndicate. This White House has to be one of the most unethical administrations ever to 'serve' the country.
And Mr. Perfect (can tell he thinks highly of himself) is out in La, La land if he thinks we've done the Iraqi people any good in the long run by getting rid of the dictatorship they were under. Which by the way was established by the U.S. in the first place when Saddam suited our political needs. We are not in the 'keep the peace process', we are in the 'how do we get ourselves out of this bees nest' process. We essentially destabilized a very volatile region and created a vacuum for Al qaeda to set up shop. The latest intelligence reported cited that fact as well as that we have had little effect on disrupting the terrorist networks.
Bush has been and always will be a moron from a wealthy family. Best President? Please....

Even if Bush did win he would not trump Washington and Lincoln. Washington was the founder of president and set up our system in the most fair of ways. He did not want the power and was scared of what this nation could become without the best direction. Lincoln's goal was to unite this country and keep it whole, which he did accomplish. The fact is modern presidents and political leaders have not accomplished what those two have and they are not even in the same ballpark when it comes to glory and true patriotism that our first leaders exhibited.

First we will have to win the war in Iraq. Then pigs have to fly. And THEN people will begin to see Bush as a good president.

Even if we win the peace(we won the war, like taking candy from a baby ,easy) the answer would still be No. the incompetence of this president is so great that he will be lucky to be placed second worst in American history.
In fifty years when the first historically accurate books are write he will be shown as a physical, mental, and moral coward,Incompetent in management, and lacking any leadership quality's the sad thing is I wanted him to succeed and from day one all this manifested itself.

Ummm.....we already won the war when we removed Sodamn Insane from power. The problem is the cause of 9/11 did not and never did reside in Iraq until we got there. The purpose of the war is ever changing just like the poor speaking abilities of W.

The only time you'll see Bush as the best President of all time is when he has implanted you with microchips and you are programmed to think so. I HOPE! YOU can't be that doped up?

WASHINGTON (AFP) - A Republican political appointee with close White House ties has blocked a 2006 report by the US surgeon general that called for action to tackle global health problems because the document did not promote the administration's policy accomplishments

Citing current and former public health officials, the newspaper said the report described the link between poverty and poor health and urged the US government to help combat widespread diseases as a key aim of its foreign policy.

Three people directly involved in the report's preparation said its publication was blocked by William Steiger, a specialist in education and a scholar of Latin American history whose family has long ties to President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney, the report said.

Steiger has run the Office of Global Health Affairs in the Department of Health and Human Services since 2001.

Richard Carmona, who served as surgeon general from 2002 to 2006, recently cited its suppression as an example of the Bush administration's frequent efforts during his tenure to give scientific documents a political twist, the paper reported.

Carmona told lawmakers that, as he fought to release the document, he was "called in and again admonished ... via a senior official who said, 'You don't get it,'" according to The Post.

He said a senior official told him that "this will be a political document, or it will not be released."

After a long struggle, Carmona refused to make the requested changes, the paper said. A few days before the end of his term as the nation's senior medical officer, he was abruptly told he would not be reappointed.

We cannot "win" in Iraq because we don't have an enemy to defeat. We have a "police action" there, trying to keep civil warriors apart If you are taking about the so-called war on terror--that was lost when the American people became so fearful (ie. "terrorized") that they gave Dubya blanket permission to do as he pleases, and when we stop railing about the rights that have been stripped from us!

Bush will go down (way, way down) in history as Dictator-in-Chief, and the first president to call the Constitution (which, BTW he took an oath to uphold) a "g-d piece of paper". Not a good legacy, if you ask me.

what do you mean by win? if you mean to make america safer from terrorists then we've already lost.

by killing innocent civilians, we've angered them into becoming terrorists. we've also armed terrorist leaders with propaganda by which to reruit more terrorists.

you may say 'well, come on, we've capture some of the head terrorists'. but just look at the facts: before the war and 9/11, there was maybe a terrorist attack every 5 years or so. since the war, there have been numerous plots (2 in england, in madrid, and miami to name a few). is it just me, or have these terrorists STEPPED UP their efforts?
