I dated a guy about 4 years ago for about 5 months. We only had sex twice in that time. He was older than me (about 18 years) and I quickly decided the relationship wasn't right for me. But, after 4 years, he still calls me at least twice a month. He still tells me that he loves me and wants us to get back together. I haven't initiated contact with him since I broke things off 4 years ago. I'm in another relationship now with someone I think I could marry. I don't want anything to do with this man, but he won't take NO for an answer. He rides by my house. He calls me at work. He calls my cell phone and blocks his number. I've changed my number more than once, but he always manages to get it somehow. I don't know what else I can do to make him understand that it is OVER between us and that I DON'T LOVE HIM! What else can I do? I really need some good advice.

Screen all your calls. Don't answer ANY calls that are not identified by the number. If someone else you know has a blocked number, explain what is happening. Perhaps you can have a code or just use email...or you call them.

Whatever you do, do not answer. Record every message.

I agree. This is not a safe situation.

You need to make sure there is no direct contact between you. Make sure doors are locked and drapes are closed. Perhaps go stay with a close friend.

If you can get help from the police at this stage, go for it.

Contact the police. Ask for their advice on who can help you. Document every instance, writing it down with the date, time, however much information you can.

THIS IS NOT A SAFE SITUATION.

Stay in safe situations until it is resolved. Start thinking back on places and addresses you know connected to him and document that for the police (names, etc.).

Don't ask that he be arrested. Do ask for advice on what THEY think you should do, what precautions and efforts you should make, how best to document things.

They can't act in some ways unless he breaks the law.
They can help in dozens of other ways just because they hate guys like this.

First, try yelling at him and letting your feelings out. Avoid face-to-face confrontation, for he might be dangerous. He might not know how to handle love.

If he keeps it up, call the cops and get a restraining order.
He probably won't let go because he either is mad at you for breaking up with him, or he still needs you.

But give him up- tell your boyfriend and he'll help deal with it as well.

if he calls just hang up on him...if he calls your work ..you should really be contacting local police,he may not be wanting to cause you harm ,but sometimes people snap and crazy things happen...i think your best bet is to just start being rude and ignore him as much as possible ..this guys a freak cause its been 4yrs....thats along time for someone to not let go ...best try not to talk anymore on the phone with him it just feeds the cause in his mind

Call the police, file a complaint, tell them his name, or file a restraining order against him. You must do what you must do. After that change you phone number again.
