for War - but suggest spending it on health care and they start screaming the blues.
So -seems fair to see the Real Values displayed by both parties are:
Healing = Democrat
War/Death = Republican.
Seems easy enough to understand-doesn't it?

When paralegals branch out on their own? After all, it is the paralegal who does all the work and they know the law as well if not better than the lawyers.

I am not a paralegal but I have many friends who are. Some worked for lawyers and a couple worked in the DA's office. They have all left and started their own Pro se Self Help Businessess.

Im talking about these tory blue brigade that seem to vote consevative as some kind of class thing. Do they have any idea about what their policies are. In the south east of england these people are everywhere - most of them are over 70 though.

I have seen some politicians post questions on this site. I wonder if they are paying attention to the answers they received.

Has anyone asked a politician in your region if he or she uses the internet and Yahoo Answers? I asked in my home town in Connecticut. I know a lot of politicians and only two out of several knows of Yahoo Answers.

What, if any experiences have you had?

The Republican party seems to be falling apart, and the Democrats seem to be able to do nothing except harass the Republicans.

Is Cheney were to resign because of his health, who would become V.P.? Would Pelosi move up or would the President appoint someone? Could Pelosi move up even though she's a Democrat and the President is Republican? How does this work?

I would. It seems kind of silly that the vote of a person in, say, Wyoming or Vermont doesn't count as much as the vote of a person from California or Texas.

This guy is the biggest crook in Illinois. He raised property taxes by 70%. He comes up with bogus claims about where the money goes but i'm sure a lot of it goes in his pockets, kind of like a armed robber. I think he's worst than George Ryan, and he's more corrupt than him. He should be in prison on corruption charges, and hopefully he will suffer in prison. Who does he think he is a dictator? He can raise taxes whenever he feels like and how ever he feels like? What about people who aren't working at this time, are they suppose to pull money out of their asses to pay for the property tax. His excuse is we need to pay more for schools, well schools are getting paid even more than what they want with all the suburban schools here with those rich snobs that work as teachers. They make 6 digit salary a year, how much more can we tax payers give them. I think he's using it as in excuse to hike up the taxes. So next time don't vote for this criminal and save your money that you work for

I would really like to understand the justification for something like this and if it is something that has happened in past wars. When we hear stories of hundreds of millions of dollars being lost, billing a wounded soldier for $700 makes no sense.
I've included one link about one story, but it's hardly unique.

It dawned on me in a past question that most uneducated people don't have a flying clue who Swift is.

He was a satiric journalist that used obscurities to address issues. He wrote that in order to give the poor Irish money and keep their population low that the English should buy the Irish children at 1 year of age for delicacies. You may think he's kidding but not everyone was so sure then.

It reads the same way as Coulter's books like "How to talk to a Liberal if you Must" and "Godless". They are meant to be embellished for shock value just like John Stewart, Steven Colbert, Bill Maher, Dennis Miller, and all the rest!

I just saw Chris Wallace's interview with him; he was incredibly clear, concise, straightforward, with no vague, meaningless doubletalk. He displayed the most amazing knowledge of history than anyone I've heard in a long time. He makes Clinton and Obama combined look like a mental dwarf. The libs will be very, very afraid of this man.

Clearly, the mainstream media will have to smear the guy; wonder when the Democrats will give them the order to start?

I would rather believe the government had nothing to do with it but to me the facts they provide dont add up.

SO I have myself a predicament. Does anyone know the NYS law about perjury and false staments. I filed a police report against my bf saying he broke into our house. He climbed through a window to get in one night because I wasnt home. His name isn't on the lease nor does he have keys so they charged him with burglary. I was summoned to court and testified under oath for the DA. But this really is more than it needs to be, so I called the DA and told her I lied and wanted take back my statment. She said it was Perjury and I would be charged accordingly for that and false statements. Anybody have any clue as to what can happen??? Thank you.

Filmmaker Michael Moore told Jay Leno on Thursday that the Bush administration has served him with a subpoena for going to Cuba to film parts of his newest movie, "Sicko."

In May, the U.S. Treasury Department informed Moore it was investigating his trip to the communist state as a potential violation of Washington's long-standing embargo restricting U.S. citizens' travel to the communist nation.

I was just in a car accident. The car in front of me stopped at a poorly placed cross walk, so I stopped too, but the SUV behind me didnt....he smashed right into the back of my car. My car only sustained relatively minor damage to the trunk...it will probably cost around $1500 to fix I would think. He didnt want to go through insurance, so against my better judgment just got all of his insurance info, license plate, address, and phone number. We didnt call the cops. No pictures. etc. Am I going to be sorry about this? what should I do? Is there anything I can do to protect myself if this guy turns out to be a jerk who doesnt pay up?

i live at this apt. complx in phila., well there is a fence that divides the apt. complx and a golf course. last night i parked my truck in front of the apt. complx. and today when i went outside to go somewhere, my rear side passenger window of my truck has been shattered by a golf ball. so i go to the golf complx to advise them of what happened. i am expecting them to take responsibility for their clients actions and the manager of this golf place advised me that since they have been there since 1933 it is not their responsiblity and that i should contact my apt. complx. now when i moved in this apt. complx last year i remember them advising me of golf ball incidences and that they are not responsible for this. i firmly agree that the apt. complx is not the responsible party, but today when i went to the golf place this manager acted as if they have no responsibility to what their clients do.
